Description: Andina draws inspiration from the native culinary traditions of Peru, as well as from the contemporary cooking by some of Peru’s leading chefs. Owner Doris Rodriguez de Platt, collaborates with Andina’s kitchen team to develop a menu that celebrates her family’s Andean roots, interweaving the ideas and techniques of both Criollo and Novo-Andean cuisines. The kitchen sources native and local ingredients to create dishes at once traditionally rooted and personally inspired. Founded in 2003, Andina emerged as one of the region’s leading Peruvian restaurants and continues to generate wide appeal within the food communities in and around Portland, and much further afield.

My adult children visited Peru last year and commented how wonderful the food and drinks were. We had read about Andina and wanted to give it a try. It did not disappoint! We were lucky to be there for Happy Hour for drinks and an appetizer before being seated for dinner. The bar staff was excellent and knowledgeable. Dinner was a mix of vegetarian small plates and one chicken dish. Everything was cooked to perfection and authentic Peruvian. Presentation was picture worthy. Tyler, our server was great. Friendlyand professional which made the dinner more enjoyable.

I was not prepared for the size of Andina; it's quite a huge restaurant! Fabulous food with lots of choices and some even for vegetarians! Great cocktails--one of the best mojitos I've ever had and I'm from Miami! Lovely decor, music the night we were there so it was a bit loud. Just an all around fun place for an evening out!

No questions asked, this restaurant is elegant place with amazing food choices.
Located in the heart of town, this large restaurant has a fine decor and great service.
Peruvian styled cooking makes this place very vegetarian friendly. We had the halibut which was flavorful and light. Salads were fresh and crisp.
Quinoa con verdura, asparagus and Yuca frittata were delicious and all the staff was very helpful

We often babysit our grand puppies when our adult kids travel. Our family enjoyed, a thank you gift, with a trip to Andina. The food is always exceptional and interesting. Since our son’s family had recently visited Peru for a summer vacation, they were able to help with ordering some items we hadn’t in the past. Like beef heart and octopus! Everything we tried was delicious and flavorful.

Andina is an upscale restaurant serving Peruvian food in a bustling two level building. The combination of flavors brings out some very interesting menu items for tapas and small bites in addition to entrees and a fascinating cocktail menu. The only problem: you can’t ever walk in this restaurant without a reservation. They end up turning you away or seating you at odd locations.
