“A Romantic and Entertaining Cruise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 October 2011

Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. We upgraded to the "Romance Package" which included a free picture, bottle of Champagne and a premium dessert. Well worth the cost. The portions of food for dinner were bigger than imagined. Quit good too. After dinner we spent the remainder of the cruise on the deck enjoying the sites and listening to the captains jokes. The only issue we had was it was difficult to find the pier.

“A fun ride through beautiful scenery followed by a great lunch and some shopping in the pretty town of Astoria.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 September 2011

Make sure to dress in layers. It can be cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. They do provide blankets if you get too cold. No worries about it being wet or windy if you sit at the front since the front and part of the sides are enclosed with see through plastic. Bring snacks since there is no food offered on the boat. They do have water. There is also a bathroom (really more like a tiny port-a-potty) that is acceptable if you are in need.
The captain and mate are knowledgeable about the river and many of the sites you see.
It's a nice day on the river and lovely few hours in an older part of Astoria. It's not a thrill ride but it is a nice speed boat ride that can get bumpy in a few places. It's a 41 foot jet boat that averages 35 - 40 miles an hour down the river.
Over all it was a very fun day seeing the river from a different perspective.

“Disappointing and NOT recommended”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2010

We went on a dinner cruise and the only good part was being out on the River. The boat is dreary and no effort has been made to make it more cheerful in the dining room. The dinner was mediocre, lacked flavor, poorly presented and reminded me of a large TV dinner! Even though dinner was (expensively) prepaid, they nickel and dimed us by charging extra for the appetizer and dessert. Apart from the cruise director, the service was surly and non- existent. We couldn't get a second drink with dinner and physically had to hunt down a server to get dessert. The only good thing was the warm summer evening and that was outside their control! The evening was a waste of money and a disappointment, and I would NOT recommend this event.
