This was the 2nd time my wife and I have eaten at toro Bravo and both times it was well worth the wait. They are always busy and you can expect to wait up to an hour but it is a wait that will be richly rewarded. The tapas are top notch (we have been to Spain many times and happily know good tapas) and the selection is excellent. We have especially enjoyed the bacon wrapped dates, tortilla espanola, shrimp with chiles, morrocan lamb, and sauteed chard and both the blood orange and raddicio salads were excellent. The wine list was also a treat...Mindy works hard to find uncommon spanish wines and although we drink almost nothing but Spanish, she has rocked us on both occasions with great, moderately priced bottles we had never heard of. If she still has some, try the Jean Leon, an amazing bordeaux style from Penedes, northwest of Barcelona. Toro Bravo is truly a taste of Espana in Portland.
