Start with $10 per day parking charge, waived for the group we were with.
Rooms were recently redecorated and look nice (much better than when we were here two years ago).

Housekeeping did not show up at all after our first night.
Bath tub drain was clogged so it took forever to drain when you took a shower.
Bathroom door was warped/swollen and dragged on the floor.
TV remote was unreliable, and the printed channel guide did not match the stations on the TV, and the channel supposed to be HGTV (on guide and TV) was only running Simpson reruns.
Hallways have wallpaper peeling in places.
One of the exterior hallway doors "always kept locked for your security" was never locked. Another had the closer broken so it slammed shut violently and noisily.
None of these are big deals and any one or maybe two would be overlooked, but altogether they reflect management that does not care, or does not inspect their property or their staff.

Oh, and there are a bunch of "homeless" people camped out along the roadway just the other side of the fenced parking area, which made us worry about security of vehicles.

I would recommend staying elsewhere, although much of the nearby neighborhood with other lesser brand lodging looked even sketchier than this. Perhaps places closer to the airport are better.

Room Tip: Best rooms are in other hotels.

We are a bus trip...44 people, probably 35 rooms. When our group arrived, not all rooms were ready. This was at 4:45 pm. They were not prepared for group’s arrival. There seemed to be little concern about this.

Breakfast area is nice. Food was lukewarm.

Some rooms have coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator (my single room did). Others do not (this seemed to be true of doubles).

Complimentary water on arrival was nice. Would have preferred that all rooms were ready.

This is a large facility near airport (no noise, though).

- room was clean
- fridge was cold
- beds and pillows were comfy
- good location by airport
- onsite restaurant was fine (not great, but not awful); wait staff were friendly and gave good service

- phone was not working at all (and could not be fixed by very nice building engineer and was not replaced)
- bedside table lamp would not work at all (and could not be fixed by building engineer)
- TV remote barely worked
- long wait time for check in or to talk to front desk staff--seemed like only 1-2 on duty during the afternoon and evening hours when lines were long
- vending machine did not work on our floor
- bathtub needs some work--discolored

Overall--would not recommend staying here unless you really had to be close to the airport.

So this hotel is average. The worst Holliday Inn we have stayed in. The beds were comfortable enough, there was a small indoor pool, (no hot tub) the television had only a few free stations, most all channels were pay to view.... but here are the reasons I am so down on this hotel. You pay for parking....ten bucks a day. And no continental free breakfast. Breakfast for two was $30.00. So, add this up with the price of the room and you have approx. $200.00 per night. I wished I had looked for a different hotel, in a different area, but due to the extensive construction going all over Portland, and the location for the doctor office we needed was in this area we stayed here. If I had known they charged to park my car, I would not have booked this hotel. If you don't need this area of Portland, you may consider a different hotel, or just book a different hotel that has free parking and free breakfast, and you will most likely have a higher quality hotel for the same amount of money. Hope this helps.

Room Tip: Expect to pay for t.v. viewing, other than seven non paying channels.

This hotel is old and dirty. The carpets were dirty and the shower was partially plugged so we had a slow drain and needed to rinse our feet after showering. Our friends who were 2 rooms away also had the same problem. The front desk employee was curt and rude, I’m surprised that someone with such poor people skills would be placed in the front. We wanted to stay near the airport for our last nights stay to facilitate an early departure the following morning. We dropped the rental car off and caught the shuttle to the airport and called the hotel for a pickup and were told that we would be picked up in 7 minutes. An old 9 seater (with 1 seat broken) came for pickup and told us that we needed to wait for the next one to come, since these people called too. Thankfully the van driver arranged for a taxi to take us to the hotel. I would expect better communication from the hotel.

Holiday Inn I would expect better brand representation from you. Your facility needs better maintenance and your people better management. I normally don’t write reviews, but this experience needs to be shared. Disappointing!
