Stayed at this hotel for just under 24 hours and unfortunately won't be able to review the restaurant, fitness center or amenities. The location was central for where I was heading and found Uber to not be more than 2-3 minutes away, regardless of the time of day. It was a quick 10 or less minute ride from the train station or downtown area (about $7 Uber). There is a fantastic market located about 2 blocks from the hotel called the Green Zebra Grocery that has great takeaway food as well as drinks, snacks and frozen foods. Plenty of restaurants in the area and only a block of so from the Lloyd Center (shopping mall).
The check-in was a little bumpy and ended up moving rooms. The first room really had quite a strong odor of bleach and was glad to be out of it. There is a bit of noise on the hotel that is closest to the train tracks, something to be aware of if you are sensitive to it. Also smelled quite a bit of cigarette smoke in the hallway, which is pretty concerning for a smoke-free property.
The room itself was fine, the bed was moderately comfortable, balcony was a nice touch and helped air out the room. HVAC worked perfectly, and there was a comfortable work desk and chair. The bathroom needed some improvement. It was very difficult to get a comfortable water temperature in the shower, it's possible the knob was too loose, but either was scalding hot or too cold. The floor of the shower got very slippery and the water pressure kept going in/out. No one stays in a hotel for the shower, but would be nice to see some improvements made to make it a better experience. This is also a green hotel, so they provide one bar of soap for your hands, but otherwise it's shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in containers in the shower.
The only other improvement I could recommend to the hotel is that the size of the trash bins was absolutely tiny. It might make more sense to provide a larger trash/recycling bin instead of two tiny ones in the room.
The hotel did seem to cater to a lot of business travelers and could tell they were making good use of the on-site restaurants. Self parking is about $25 a day, valet a bit higher. Concierge service was excellent and they put up with a few of my annoying requests with patience and ease.
Overall, I would stay here again, was easy to find my way around and the ability of transport made it convenient to anywhere in town.
