Starvin' Marvin's Sandwich Hut does not look very inviting from the outside, but we decided to stop by anyway. The inside is old but clean. There is an old piano and customers are welcome to sit down and play :-)
It's mainly a sandwich place, plus they also serve small pizzas. There is a list of sandwiches to choose from, or you can make up your own. There was one person working, who was quite friendly. We ordered at the counter and then she brought the sandwiches out.
I had the "double deal" and chose ham and turkey with Swiss cheese. For $5.50 it had a good amount of meat and was fresh. My husband had the Reuben, which he said was very good; it was $7. It's just the sandwich, though. I might suggest that they include an inexpensive bag of chips with them to make it more of a "meal". Soft drinks are $1.
I would not call the sandwiches "awesome" but they were good and it made a nice change from fast food hamburgers. This place is located in South Beach, south of the bridge, directly on 101 next to Hoover's. There is room for small RVs in the lot and larger rigs on the side street (Ferry Slip Road).
