Description: A pioneering spirit of craftsmanship paired with a deep-rooted connection to the region inspires our culinary program, which is showcased fully in the Cascade Dining Room at Timberline Lodge. From cold mountain streams and deep Pacific waters teeming with fish to rolling fields of fresh organic produce, Timberline Lodge is at the center of the various bounties we enjoy in the state of Oregon. Led by celebrated Chef Jason Stoller Smith, all of our dining programs strive to create a sustainable farm-to-table relationship with the land around Mt. Hood.

Timberline Lodge is a classic that has retained it's originality. The dining room is more contemporary, mostly for the good. The menu is interesting and the food well prepared. Their signature beef was just OK though, the rib eye steak was overly fatty. My crispy duck was much better, well cooked with a wonderful sauce. The service is unfortunately spotty; we waited quite a while between courses and the server was not well versed on the menu or wine list. Their breakfast buffet is good, not great, but reasonably priced.

Went with the kids up to the Timberline lodge and dined at the Cascade Dining Room. Great food, very well done. Inexpensive kids meals with even a 3 course choice. Friendly staff and excellent service.

If you're staying in Timberline Lodge, most likely you're going to have dinner in Cascade Dining room, since there are no options that I know of. Food are average (We had Salmon and Duck) in terms of Organ standard. $48 Salmon seems less than 1/3 bls. Duck is over fry and very dry.

Had an anniversary dinner here, very classy, tasty and imaginative food, and a great (and pretty reasonable) wine list. The breakfast buffet we had was almost overwhelming. It was, of course, very good, and certainly fueled us for a cold ski day.
