“A good value comfortable bungalow.”
Reviewed June 28, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Considering the price point, this is a very good place to stay and I have no real complaints. On walking through the door for the first time I was very pleased and it beats a hotel hands down and it was all clean.

The downstairs living area is a good space with plenty of seating, a good tv for those that can't bear to miss a soap opera and a good internet connection.

A couple of the bedrooms have work/computer desks in which I found most useful - the bedrooms are all a good size with plenty of wardrobe space also.

It's not the most stocked kitchen ever, but has everything that you need to cook and eat in comfort with an excellent cooker and a good size fridge and freezer.

Due to the rather odd layout upstairs, this would suit smaller groups or those with young children. Can't really work out why the upstairs was done the way it was, it lets it down a little but, but with a little bit of work it could be first class.

For those that don't want to cater for themselves, the pub directly behind is known for good food, but be warned, it does get fully booked at the weekends. It is a quiet pub so although you are right behind it, there is minimal to no noise issues.

The only negatives that I have is that there were a couple of minor maintenance issues which I'm sure will have been fixed by now, the garden could do with a bit of work to make it bit prettier and the kitchen cupboards could do with a sort and a tidy, other than that I was more than happy and would certainly stay again.

“short winter break”
Reviewed January 21, 2017 for a stay in November 2016

We enjoyed a lovely break visiting the pier at Weston and friends in Bristol. The accommodation was really nice, comfortable and warm and in a great location. Loved the short walk to the farm shop and local cafe serving delicious food.

“The cottage was perfect for our group, well fitted and a great space in the living area for 6 of us.”
Reviewed January 16, 2017 for a stay in September 2016

Location was very good for us as we were attending a local wedding. The pub next door was brilliant. Didn't see a lot of the village because we were too busy with the wedding.

“Nice stay”
Reviewed January 14, 2017 for a stay in August 2016

Stayed, was clean on arrival and we had a good stay. A lot of stuff around that we were concerned about breaking having taken 3 under 3's with us but an ideal Base for a break away. In perfect walking distance of pubs!

“Strange bungalow with a terrible, neglected garden”
Reviewed October 3, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The entrance area of the bungalow is open for everyone to walk in. Unfortunately, there is no light illuminating the way from the car park to the entrance door at night. Downstairs are two bedrooms sharing an inner bathroom with no window (and therefore, there is a strong, mouldy smell). The window of the single bedroom faces a brick wall, and so does the window next to the kitchen. The top floor has the most strange layout we have ever seen although there would be enough space putting in a proper bathroom (with walls actually). Not only the bath tub is open plan but so is the toilet too with a staircase leading directly next to it to the downstairs living room. The rug in front of the fire place is stained and dirty and so were some of the breakfast chairs. Sadly, the garden was terribly neglected and one corner looked like a dump site. Nowadays, every holiday cottages has a "Welcome" folder with interesting tips for seightseeing, instructions for the electrical equipment, helping advice of how to recycle the rubbish and even dates when to put out the rubbish bins for collection. Sadly, this all was missing.

The cottage was excellent for our short stay, well equipped with very comfortable beds and state of the arts shower !. The pub round the corner was also excellent with menu and staff and ambience
