Love this place! Small Italian restaurant in a shopping mall. Family-owned restaurant that is a BYOB. Especially liked their lobster bisque, a rich intensely flavored rendition of this classic dish. Pasta dishes good as are sautéed meat dishes.

Don’t be over impressed, an average experience at best.
Firstly let’s agree the BYOB is actually one of their saving graces, you set the standard of wine choice and cost, we picked well with a Pinot Noir and a light Cote de Rhône white, well chilled and both did not disappoint.

Now to the restaurant: a Friday night saw it full, a busy atmosphere and our reservation was definitely needed. We got a good table at the back where we could talk and despite being busy, could hear each other.
Looking through the menu, prompts the question: does the chef have shares in an arugula farm as it is over represented in dishes!

The somewhat surly waitress recanted the specials with no interest and after asking again to better understand her mumbled diatribe, I picked a starter from the specials- carpaccio tuna and arugula salad. My partner ordered cream of mushroom soup. The tuna came out ice cold, clearly plated earlier in the day and refrigerated, it had lost most of its flavor and texture, it needed to be warmer and was not enjoyable. So my disappointment was matched by my partners reaction to the soup- it tasted mainly of the pepper added when served, was thin and watery with little flavor. It didn’t bode well for the entrees!

My partner chose fried breaded chicken - totally covered and hidden under an arugula/ tomato mix - a most unappetizing presentation - what are they thinking in the kitchen, such poor presentation? Redeemed by her squeezing the chicken with fresh lemon juice and moving most of the green mess to the side, the chicken was fresh, moist and properly cooked that engendered a positive reaction.
I picked the lamb chops, served with mash and creamed spinach, (no veg choices but looking at other reviews maybe the bulk buy arugula is joined with spinach as only green options!). Chops were perfectly cooked to medium, and tasted great. Mash ok and I’m not a spinach fan anyway.
So entrees were essentially good if your sole focus is on the protein.

The Napoleon dessert, shared, was the best dish of the evening. Excellent dessert.

Considering it’s BYOB, they must depend on regular clientele who have few choices in Doylestown or are easily pleased.
Not on my list to return soon.

Enjoyed a relaxing meal on a Saturday night. Each of us (4) found salads and entrees (salmon with crabmeat, lobster ravioli, chicken marsala to be fresh and prepared to perfection. Sauces are flavorful without overpowering. Unique desert offerings, including a wonderful gelato! Agree that you should confirm prices on specials which are higher than menu options which we found to be reasonable...and it is a BYOB! Roomy dining room. Service is attentive without being overbearing.
