We just moved to Doylestown last summer and we are always looking for a good breakfast place for the weekends. The Bread Crumb is it! Who would have thought this little place hidden in the back of a strip mall would be such a find! Friendly and efficient service, good prices, excellent food. What more can you ask for? And the best creamed chipped beef in town! Everything we have tried has been really good. Run....don't walk....to the Bread Crumb! It has limited hours so be sure to check. And ask to be seated with Elaine who only works on the weekends.

Thank Karen H

..... gem of a little "diner" in a strip shopping center off Main St. in the Cross Keys section of Doylestown. My Wife is a Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast affectionate and theirs rates a 9 outa 10 -the best to date.

You'll be disappointed if you're a food snob and judge this local breakfast restaurant on it's diverse menu or its decor (Colonial? Ew ). You will NOT be disappointed if you want a delicious, affordable breakfast, served quickly by nice people. The Bread Crumb doesn't disappoint.

We sat ourselves in the small breakfast/lunch restaurant and were greeted immediately. The menu had all of the breakfast staples that you'd expect without getting fancy. Our breakfast was served in about 5 minutes and was hot and delicious and my coffee cup was never empty. I had a bacon and cheese omelet which was packed with plenty of crispy bacon. The plate came with home fries and toast. My wife had the pancakes, which were large and fluffy, with a side of sausage links. Our bill was less than $20. If Bread Crumb was closer, I'd visit every weekend. Give them a try!

This is a local eatery with a good reputation.
I have been here more than a few times.
The wait staff is either overwhelmed or inattentive. I have had my breakfast meat served cool, and a second cup of coffee in nearly impossible. For the most part the breakfast is breakfast..nothing fancy. Value is ok and the quality is ok which is fine. But sausage should be served hot. And it would be nice to have a waitress check up or ask if anything else is wanted before laying the check.

It's hard to believe this is actually being run as a business. It seems more like somebody's hobby. Very limited opening hours. Mediocre food prepared from mediocre ingredients. A friend described the menu as consisting of whatever they have laying around in the fridge.
