We were in town for a wedding. After the wedding, the family gathered in the lobby to have a few drinks and a meat & cheese platter. Almost immediately the front desk clerk, Christopher I believe his name was, told us we needed to he quiet as they had received numerous complaints about noise. At no point did we see him take phone calls. Regardless, we quieted down out of respect for the guests if they did in fact complain. Every few minutes afterwards, the clerk told us we needed to be quiet. He was completely condescending and aggressive towards us. Even the first time, he showed zero respect or customer service towards us. He eventually threatened to call the police if we didn't quiet down. He told us to go to a room and hang out there, which makes no sense. You're bound to get more complaints in a regular room vs the public gathering area in the lobby. He jusy didn't want to personally hear us. The wedding party brought in a lot of business with their room blocks, and we're treated terribly on their wedding night by your staff. Just to be clear - this wasn't a young, rowdy wedding group. There was no one there under the age of 40. No one was carrying on or creating issues. The kicker is the brides 93 year old grandmother that was there also, she is from Canada and it will most likely be the last time the bride got to see her.
Unacceptable customer service. I am supposed to be going to a wedding in 2025 at the Star Barn again. My friend, the groom, asked about the hotel. I will be making it well known not to have your wedding party stay at your hotel.
