it was a nice stay it could be improved by having a tv and dvd player in the cabin or a microwave the Jacuzzi was awesome it was a little hard going to the bathroom at night because it was cold to walk outside since the bathroom is separate. overall it was a quiet and confortable week end.

“Amazing and charming nature getaway”
Reviewed August 13, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We stayed at the cabin in April 2015 and had an amazing time.

Our plans were to do a lot of hiking and found ourselves just wanting to come back to the cabin.

The landscape was beautiful and Tom, Carol, and their dog Chloe were very welcoming and helpful. We also brought our little dog Dook as well and had no issues at all...even he loved being there!

We used everything within the property from the telescope to the outdoor kitchen, jacuzzi, and even the cabin fireplace. There were just so many amenities.

The art surrounding the property was just great. Tom is a great unique artist and we were amazed by his work. At the time he was working on a few other projects such as a new bathroom for the cabin. We are looking forward to staying there again this upcoming year.

“Incredibly Unique Cabin”

We were searching for a unique getaway and certainly found it at Tom & Carols Cabin. We were excited about the trip even before arriving from all the pictures and wonderful reviews we read and it lived up to and even exceeded the expectation. The cabin is lovely and we fully enjoyed all the accommodation's, from the sauna, hot tub, fire pits, ponds, outdoor kitchen and private bathroom. The grounds were stunning with sculptures and art everywhere you look and beautiful paths, perfect lighting at night. they truly thought of everything.

Tom and Carol provided us a map and recommendations for places to visit and eat while we were there. Other then the Cabin my favorite place was Child's Park. We ate at Peter's one night to celebrate our 20th anniversary and that place was amazing. The food and atmosphere were wonderful.

They gave us plenty of privacy but were also there to answer any questions we had or share in a drink, delightful conversation, and lots of laughs. Not only were they lovely hosts for us but even provided a space for our chicken who was recovering from a procedure. Yes we brought our chicken.. Where else can you go and tote along a chicken?

We purchased two portraits of Tom's work with ice and pigment on our last day. We will treasure those always. His work really resonated with us . I have already recommended the place to a few friends and we look forward to going again.

“A Beautiful, Peaceful Getaway”

My husband and I decided to book a spontaneous minibreak to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Tom & Carol's Art Cabin In The Woods did not disappoint. Expect pretty much everything in the rental's description, and especially the reviews (the positive ones... but I think they're all glowing, so... there you go!). Probably no matter where you're coming from, you can expect a scenic drive to the cabin. Tom was, as many other guests commented, right there to greet us when we arrived. He gave us a nice tour of the property and amenities, and introduced us to all of the critters sharing the woods with us - tons of pigeons, Chicken, Chloe the dog, Kitty the cat - all very friendly. As also mentioned in the reviews, Tom and Carol (who are super chill, interesting, and kind) welcome you into their home if you feel like chatting (we spent a few hours there our first night, getting to know them and sharing stories, learning about the area)... and if you're not in the mood for company, you'd hardly know they're there. We never felt like intruders *or* rude loners, which was awesome.

As for the amenities, all was great. Outdoor enclosed shower, new bathroom next to the cabin Tom's working on (huge plus!), and the cabin itself is small but lovely. Perhaps the best part was the outdoor kitchen. It was useful - and adequately covered so we could even cook + eat in the rain. We brought a ton of food (and plates + plasticware + napkins, weren't sure what would be made available to us -- for the record, the pantry is stocked with some silverware, plates, bowls, basic cooking items like olive oil, salt, pepper, etc -- coffee + french press, tea kettle, some pots and pans, cutting board) and cooked all of our meals together, eating outside with the woods all around us. Very peaceful and beautiful. Lots of bugs, but that's nature :) Chloe came up and hung out with us a lot... mostly when food was involved :) She was absolutely the sweetest, most well-behaved dog - a treat to get to hang with her.

Tom showed us on a map some great waterfalls and parks nearby, which we visited throughout our stay. Otherwise, we were content to hull up, read, and relax. We would definitely consider returning to the Art Cabin In The Woods. For us, it was a conveniently located, affordable, lovely place to get away to for a few days.

Liked best: Probably the outdoor kitchen + seating area. It was really fun to cook all of our meals together and sit out in the woods to enjoy them. It was also way more convenient than walking down to the house for every kitchen-related need.
Liked least: The cabin *is* tucked away, but really close to a main highway, so even though you're in the woods, you still hear lots of motor vehicle noises.
