My wife and I had dined at Savona in the past and although the experience was good, it was never great. We decided to give it another try last week for our wedding anniversary and we're glad we did.
Everything about our experience was top drawer from the valet, to the greeting from the hostess (who recalled it was a special event), to the wait staff, and most importantly to the meal itself.
As we were celebrating a special event we started with specialty cocktails the "Fox on Rocks" and "Down the Thatch" were an excellent start to a great evening. We ordered two appetizers, the Fried Artichoke Hearts (nicely presented on a platter atop a napkin to catch excess cooking oil) and the Beet Salad. We enjoyed them both. For entrees my darling wife had the Striped Bass and I feasted on the Veal Milanese. The entree portions were very ample and quantity did not diminish the quality of the food.
We had Brussel Sprouts and Haystack Potatoes as side dishes. With the ample entrees the sides were a bit excessive. My only complaint is that the Haystack Potatoes were a bit limp when they should have been crisp. The dessert menu looked good, but we were too full to indulge.
This was truly a 5-star experience and we will be back soon and often. Maybe we'll see you there. You can thank me then.

The ambiance is lovely. The servers were nice and fairly good. The food was good but nothing special. Prices are high for nothing special kind of food.

Met for dinner with coworkers. The place has an Old Italian combined with Luxurious vibe. The menu is great and the chef changes it with the seasons. Their wine list is super extensive and they have really good and expensive wines.

The food was delicious! The service was excellent. The chef came to our table to say hello since he knew one of my coworkers.

For several years this has been one of my favorite restaurants. No longer....poor service, barely mediocre food....a dining disappointment in Spades. Will never return.

Came from CT. to enjoy a meal with another couple. Understood they just finished a renovation and the food is great...well...so much for the past. To each his own, but the renovation was depressing, cold and uninviting especially upstairs (bar area was great). Fresh flowers guys at least? Maybe some artwork? The initial waiter was pleasant and we all thought this will be a fun event. Did not see him the rest of the night as they have "many" attending to your table. Scott (if I remember correctly) was the one who took over and I'm sorry to say ZERO personality...not that the waitstaff is required to hold a conversation, but don't drop desert menus on the table saying nothing, we elected to pass, pick them up and walk away. Next appearance, dropped the check and didn't even utter thank you. We have all spent time in the past working in the restaurant business, and after dropping close to $350 for the night, let this review end right here. Savona? Forgetaboutit!
