Try the appetizers and desserts, enjoy the trendy atmosphere and save your money for a meal elsewhere. Savona has a warm, modern feel and decor with an open kitchen concept. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, although not outstanding in any way, which was also the case with the food. Everything was very good and some selections, such as the yellowtail appetizer and fried artichoke hearts, were unique and tasty. However, the entrees were less inspired. While the Kobe flat iron steaks were very good and done to perfection, they were served as a slab of meat on an iron skillet. The steak had a nice flavor, but there was no sauce, topping or other flavor or accent present. The branzino was good, as was the veal Milanese, but neither was anything extraordinary either, which was surprising given the relatively high prices. The mint chocolate chip brownie was quite yummy though! The cappuccino was served lukewarm, oddly enough, and the sommelier seemed somewhat lost when asked for assistance in selecting a nice rose to accommodate those in our party who drink whites and those who prefer reds. Overall, this is a trendy, expensive restaurant that doesn't quite live up to its billing as a top notch destination dining spot.

My wife and I had dined at Savona in the past and although the experience was good, it was never great. We decided to give it another try last week for our wedding anniversary and we're glad we did.
Everything about our experience was top drawer from the valet, to the greeting from the hostess (who recalled it was a special event), to the wait staff, and most importantly to the meal itself.
As we were celebrating a special event we started with specialty cocktails the "Fox on Rocks" and "Down the Thatch" were an excellent start to a great evening. We ordered two appetizers, the Fried Artichoke Hearts (nicely presented on a platter atop a napkin to catch excess cooking oil) and the Beet Salad. We enjoyed them both. For entrees my darling wife had the Striped Bass and I feasted on the Veal Milanese. The entree portions were very ample and quantity did not diminish the quality of the food.
We had Brussel Sprouts and Haystack Potatoes as side dishes. With the ample entrees the sides were a bit excessive. My only complaint is that the Haystack Potatoes were a bit limp when they should have been crisp. The dessert menu looked good, but we were too full to indulge.
This was truly a 5-star experience and we will be back soon and often. Maybe we'll see you there. You can thank me then.

Met for dinner with coworkers. The place has an Old Italian combined with Luxurious vibe. The menu is great and the chef changes it with the seasons. Their wine list is super extensive and they have really good and expensive wines.

The food was delicious! The service was excellent. The chef came to our table to say hello since he knew one of my coworkers.
