This was our first visit to Pastorante and it won't be our last! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant is in a convenient location in Harrisburg, with an intimate dining room. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The pasta is made fresh in house and is so tender and light. Don't miss the appetizers - they're amazing! It's BYOB so you can bring your favorite wine.

You have to experience the outstanding pasta dinners. The waitresses are polite, charming and professional. The only improvement I would make is the Italian bread. Very cold and not very good for an Italian Restaurant. But this will not stop me from eating his delicious pasta.

Great location right in the heart of midtown. Plenty of parking both on street and in the lot across the street. Host/waiter very friendly and knowledgeable. Service was fast and correct. Enjoyed the menu special of Butternut Squash Fussili. Great sauce lovely chunks of squash and a good size portion that meant I had lunch for the next day. The rest of my party enjoyed lasagna and italian wedding soup. It all smelled and looked fantastic.

Chose Pastorante from online reviews since I haven't been in Harrisburg in many years. We ate relatively early, so the place was nearly empty and the service was good. It did get very busy later with the Friday evening crowd. I ordered from the restaurant week menu and enjoyed all three courses. Especially good was the red pepper ravioli with crab and shrimp. Pasta is made in-house and was light and melted in your mouth. As for the crab and shrimp, they were in the ravioli, but not noticeable in the sauce. My husband had the chicken Caesar salad and it was quite good. He had the appetizer size sausage and peppers and loved it. We also sampled the meatballs, which were so good, we brought some back with us. Wait staff was very pleasant. Parking can be an issue. We parked about a block away on the street. All in all, a lovely meal.

I saw all the reviews and thought to give it a shoot for anniversary dinner.
In short it was a big mess. I called the restaurant to reserve the table. Upon arrival server asked us to take a seat on a dirty table. She said she will clean it up. It took 10 more minutes for her to get back to our table to clean it.
Further, the restaurant is very small and they don't have any noise cancellation walls, therefore the place was way too loud that we ended up getting headache.
Finally the server retuned cleaned up the table and gave us the menus which were dirty. Please look at the uploaded pics for reference.
So we placed the order for Appetizer and 2 main course for dinner.
After waiting for 45 minutes our appetizer arrived, without any plates or silverware. It took another 6 minutes for the server to get us silverware and plates. Before we even touched the appetizer the dinner came. By this time we had lost the appetite.
The pasta taste was ok..Bruschetta that we had order were cold (for appetizer).
In short we ended up packing the food and left the place. It was so bad that the server gave us the bill and forgot to take the check back. So we stood up and asked her to charge so we could leave.

Overall, food is ok --- the place is way to noisy --- staff is not professional. Won;t recommend the place for dine in.
