While no longer living in area we try to stop at Cork & Fork every visit or two. A word of warning the acoustics for whatever reason cause the noise level to be quite high when restaurant is busy and is hard to hear at table if restaurant packed. Also the restaurant isn't large so I would suggest a dinner reservation any night and during peak lunch hours m-f. We prefer eating upstairs less hectic then the downstairs dinning/bar area.
The menu is creatively made up of variety of small plates, salads, pasta's, charcuterie/cheeses, small pizzas and sandwiches. The most expensive dish is about $ 16. We often on plan on getting 4-5 small dishes and find after two we have to work to have another.
This visit we shared a small plate of Italian sausage/cannellini beans & a small plate of eggplant parm. The waiter did us a great favor, even though not requested, and brought one plate at a time. We had the sausage and beans first. Served piping hot. We both liked it, my wife loves various beans and found these wonderful. The eggplant was next. Also served hot and was excellent, a really great rustic tomato sauce was over the dish. Not a thin sauce but still have cooked chunks of tomato's w/great seasoning.
We realized we would never have two more dishes so ordered there meat based personal pizza. When served couldn't have been better. This crust w/wonderful charred rolled crust on the edges. We ate about 1/2 and took the rest home.
All of the food was truly excellent.
They have a full bar, so any cocktail can be requested, a reasonable selection of bottled beer and a well thought out wine list of about 20 reds and 20 whites. PA wine prices are, politically driven, higher then most states but Cork does a good job keeping prices as reasonable as they can.
Our server was excellent. Not hovering at all but cognizant of our needs at all times.
Street parking requires meters being paid until 7PM. When we arrived about 545 street was dead seemed ridiculous to have to pay but when we left about 715pm good number of cars in spaces so I guess makes sense for city.
