The hotel wasn't bad, same problem with bed next to wall, the other bed had the air conditioner unit right next to the bed, I fell over it getting into bed! the next morning we all arrived 52 people in the dining area assigned to us. We were all told by the attendant that we had three gallons of coffee and after that was gone we would be charged for it. (that amounted to one cup per person) All the little muffins and rolls were cut in half, we also could have our choice of coco puffs or cornflakes, we were very disappointed in their breakfast and how we were treated! I could not get on the wifi called desk twice about an hour apart and still couldn't get on. :( we were all seniors and we were on the third floor,

Room Tip: One couple had to change rooms due to air conditioning not working.

This hotel has seen much better days. We stayed for two nights over Labor Day with a group in town for a hockey tournament. The staff were nice and they let the kids play knee hockey in a reserved banquet room which was great. However, the rooms left a lot to be desired. We did not have a refrigerator in our room and didn't know we should until the second day when another couple told us they had one. It would have been nice for drinks and snacks. On entry, the room was dark and musty smelling. There was not an easy way to turn the lights on. The tub did not have a stopper. The tiles in the tub/shower had mold on them and the toilet paper holder was broken. Walls were dirty, doors and furniture were chipped. The hotel was noisy. We were above the pool and heard kids in there all night. I would not recommend or return. The price was high - go somewhere with the same price that has a free breakfast and indoor pool!

Stayed here for two nights last weekend for my son's hockey tournament in Hershey. The hotel is very run down, beat up, dirty and all around not a good value. Very strange layout in the lobby to pay for breakfast (no free breakfast) and customer service pretty much non-existant.

I do not recommend. Lots of other choices very close by (Courtyard right next door).

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

Mostly friendly staff but hotel needs quite a bit of renovations. I called ahead of time as a rewards member and asked for a recently renovated room...Bathroom had a cracked toilet, visible ceiling repair, and dirty caulk lines near in tub. This hotel is just a glorified motel. The only reason we stayed was because the remaining parties from our team was there.

Room Tip: Book a different hotel

I am not impressed with the wifi here! The rooms are nice, spacious, and clean, but felt that the wifi was kind of slow. My room had a fridge and microwave which I was happy about. There is also a decent sized outdoor pool but I did not swim in it. Great location only 10 minutes from downtown Harrisburg.

As the title says, the staff was very friendly. However, some of the rooms do not have a refrigerator (also no microwave). Although, ... they did have an empty furniture cabinet that previously housed such. Please read the entire review as the 2nd half is probably the most important (no, not more rambling about the refrigerator or lack thereof).

Advice to management:
My best guess is that only 40 rooms are without a refrigerator and microwave. If you shop with determination, you will undoubtedly find a source that would be able to provide the refrigerator for $80 or less, and the microwave for $40 or less. In other words, for less than $5,000 total, you could avoid negative feedback and impart a better experience to your customers.

Information for guests of this hotel:
The elevator is a great scary State-Fair ride, but not really acceptable for a hotel, especially not for a hotel of the Wyndham name caliber. Truly this was probably one of the more scary elevators I've been on in my entire 50++ years of life! The doors close very slowly and open equally as slow. One of the elevators has its doors painted by a paintbrush showing very clear brush strokes, and with random and frequent demarcations of rust. The other elevator still has its original dulled brass doors, with erosion bearing through greater than half of them. However, the scary part was not its appearance or its speed as much as it was the clearly visible markings on the inside and outside of the doors that they had been pried open with some very heavy-duty equipment. The doors were bent and crinkled in a manner that only a device which was used to pry them open would cause. As the elevator rises, you can see through the wrangled door and all below in its shaft.

A final "creepy" thing was the speed for which the lights in the room turned on. Sounds crazy, ... right? Well, we walked into the room, turned on the light switch, and nothing happened. Turned it off. On again. Off again. On again, and then left it to be. Low and behold, almost 2 minutes later, the lights turned on. We tested this out, and it seemed that once they were "warmed up" they responded more quickly, but still only turning on after much hesitation.

A note of good advice to future guests of the hotel:
Do NOT book your rooms through a 3rd party booking company for Wyndham hotels. The rate you pay might actually be higher (as was my case). For me, Expedia was proper enough to reimburse me the $58+ difference in cost from the final check-out price to what I had paid 3 months in advance (in other words, Expedia charged me $58 more than the Hotel's final check-out bill). For some hotels it's a no-brainer, ... shop the 3rd party markets and you may save as much as 50%. Not for Wyndham. Just book your reservations by calling the hotel location (not corporate booking). You will get just as good and possibly better price, and you will be afforded many seemingly obvious comforts, like being told that some of the rooms don't have refrigerators and that they are the same price as those that do have them, like the ability to switch rooms if you're dissatisfied with your room, and more.
