This past weekend as we gathered to celebrate at the Woodloch Pines Resort for a dear friends 65th Birthday! As we excitedly envisioned what the weekend would bring none of us would be prepared for what Mother Nature had in store for us. With almost 18 inches of snow falling, major road closures and dangerous power lines throughout the area, no power or heat and limited generator power, Woodloch embraced each and every guest like family. Arrangements were made, cozy fireplaces burning, extra blankets and flashlights/glow sticks distributed and every available amenity was made available to us as we waited out the storm. Inside the resort with all its normal activities bustling away as scheduled, we would never really feel the dangerous conditions around us. From lunch, dinner and even breakfast the next day one would never have guessed we were on limited generator power as everything was hot and still so delicious! Yet none of this would have been possible without the dedicated amazing staff, many of whom slept over for the weekend so nothing would seem to skip a beat for our enjoyment. And then before we finally said goodbye our cars would be plowed out and even paths made to the doorways to our cars for us to get in....They are just amazing as they think of every detail possible as not to disappoint their guests. As we celebrated this milestone with our friend who we met at Woodloch over 20 years ago, I couldn’t help but think of Woodloch’s mission of ‘always treating everyone like family’. We certainly love being part of this special family and would tell anyone who is looking for a resort who truly cares about their guests then look no further than staying at the Woodloch Pines Resort!

Thank you for the rave review, della703! We are thrilled to hear that you and your friends had such a wonderful stay and birthday celebration even in the midst of the blizzard!

It was certainly a challenging time for us weather-wise, but we always want to be prepared and maintain business as usual as best we can regardless of what the conditions are like outside. We are indebted to our incredible staff who went above and beyond to make this a reality! As you mention, from the hot meals to the warm fireplaces to the many activities, we wanted to offer our guests as typical an experience as possible during a very untypical time!

For 60 years now, we have remained true to our original mission "to treat all guests as if they were company in our own homes." Thank you for being a part of our family and for spreading the word about how much we care. We are grateful for your continued loyalty and hope to welcome you back for many years to come!

As a mom of a daughter of multiple, severe food allergies, the dining was 6 out of 5 stars. There are very few places my daughter can go out to eat eat. Woodloch Pines is a leader in catering to people with food allergies. It is all part of their attention to detail! Our room, in the same building as the dining room and nightclub was very nice and we had a very pretty lake view. We loved the go-carts, archery, snow tubing, and all sorts of games and contests. We enjoyed the "Winter Olympics". What could be more fun than Grandmas and kids rolling down a snowy hill together? The activities are very entertaining and bring back generations of fun. Activities such as "Name that Tune" and "Do you know as much as a 5th Grader?" brings guests of all ages and generations together. Our favorite part was the evening entertainment - magic, comedy and the amazing Broadway-Style musical. Returning to Woodloch Pines will feel like visiting family.

This was our first real winter trip here since our first time in December of 2010. We loved It! It was even better with all the friends and family that were here with us! While summer is it's own amazing experience, the winter feel was just as amazing. We won medals everyday and the weather was unusually warm. This allowed us to enjoy the grounds even more. Top level service and entertainment as usual. Thank you to the staff and management for making our winter break awesome

We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed your winter break visit here, gwayrch! As you mentioned, it is certainly a different experience in comparing summer versus winter here, but as you now know, it is just as fun! The resort turns into a winter wonderland complete with snow tubing, ice skating, snowshoeing, ice hockey, and more. And what a nice perk that you could all enjoy of this during an unseasonably warm period!

Thank you very much for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back soon!
