Just returned from our first visit for a meal and would like to say we had a fantastic meal, excellent hot food with great service. All at a very reasonable price.
As a family who eat Chinese a lot, often in Manchester we could not fault this restaurant and will definitely be going back. Must be one of the best ones in this area and we have been to most.

I write this review with a bit of a heavy heart to be honest. We went here on a Wednesday evening at around 2000 and were the only people in the restaurant. Now the first thing to say is the service was excellent throughout (well we were the only people in I suppose), but honestly, we were very nicely looked after. The decor and tables are all a bit tired I'm afraid and feels like it hasn't had much investment in quite some time.
The food was a mixed bag as well, the salt and pepper squid starter was excellent as was the steak in ginger and spring onions on a sizzler. The hot and sour soup however was not hot (chilli hot that is) and was a pretty small portion that seemed a bit mean for the only two guests! The Szechuan chicken was also a bit too bland for me so was something of a disappointment.
Overall the low review is because of a distinct lack of any atmosphere (other restaurants in this area are often very busy at this time on a Wednesday), the decor which needs refreshing (might get away with it if the restaurant was full) and the mixed standard of the food. I'm afraid that we won't be going back which is disappointing after we were looked after nicely. Hey ho.......

Fantastic food, a must go to for anyone or any family. All that could improve this place is a little atmosphere, they had traditional music on but it was far too quiet, if anything could improve this place would be for them to turn the music up. It did feel a bit like a library. Definitely will be visiting again

Gave the restaurant a try and it was absolutely brilliant! We had a quarter of aromatic crispy duck and some spring rolls to start. This was delicious! Highly recommend. We then had crispy beef in chilli sauce and char sui pork chow mein with some fried rice. It was so good, great portion sizes, we were stuffed and had to leave some as we thought we might pop! The service was brilliant, so attentive but without being overbearing. Great price. Highly recommend!!

We fancied celebrating the Chinese New Year with friends but didn't want a take-away. Previously been to The Great Wall (across the road from here) and was far from impressed, so thought we'd try this one. Read the mixed reviews but decided to give it a go. So glad we did. This restaurant is bright, spotlessly clean and airy. The staff are happy, polite, friendly and attentive, without being annoyingly so and the quality of the food is faultless. There is something on the menu to suit all tastes. We had, amongst other things: Hot and sour soup, one hot and one not-so-hot sizzling beef, duck in plum sauce, chow mien, spring rolls (2 types) with dipping sauces, plain rice, egg fried rice, a huge plate of the best chips I have ever eaten and a few other bits because we were not expecting the portion sizes to be so generous for the prices. Their Prawn Crackers were surprisingly crisp but fluffy at the same time and I'd go back just for them, Yum.! The beer is not on draught, but there is a reasonable range; as there is for non-alcoholic. This place has it's own car park and there appears to be plenty more parking on the street. Less abled people should be aware that there are a couple of steps up into the restaurant and that the immaculately clean loos are up a flight of stairs. We all had a great evening and we'll certainly be going back soon.
