“Warm, spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable”

This is a lovely cottage. There was wine and cake to welcome us, as well as a good supply of tea, coffee and milk. We hardly noticed the weather getting colder outside as it was cosy and warm inside. The washing machine was very useful. There are folders with local walks and information on cafés, pubs and restaurants.
If you have noisy children, be aware that the stairs are on the adjoining wall to the next door cottage, and the neighbours may possibly be disturbed, although we could hear nothing from our neighbours, and all the cottages were occupied. There is plenty of off-street parking.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review - we are so pleased you had a good time. We understand you point about the cottages being in a terrace but to allay your fears would let you know that the middle cottage is 6" smaller than the other two as it has been doubly insulated. We also had an independent sound test carried out to ensure that customers enjoying themselves should not cause a problem to other guests. kind regards Nicky

“Fabulous Cottage in Great Location with Everything you Need!”
Reviewed August 4, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

I stayed here with my husband and mother for 3 nights at the end of July. Victoria Wood View is one of the 3 Cragg cottages in Hebden Bridge. The cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom sleeping 4. The cottage is fabulous and is equiped with everything you need from towels, even supplied for the dog as it is pet friendly, to hairdryer, selection of teas and coffee. Milk is also provided. The cottage is extremely comfortable and on arrival therre were flowers with small bottles of red and white wine and cake, much appreciated after a long drive.
The cottage is also equiped with iron and ironing board, there are products to do the washing up and if you want to use the washing machine. It has been thought out well as to what is provided in the cottage and there is plenty of information around places to see and places to eat. The patio has table and chairs so you can sit outside with stunning views. There is also a shed outside which you can access which has additional chairs, table and a gas barbecue which you can use and enough parking. It is made clear that you can contact Nicky the owner if there is anything else that is required.

The cottage is about a 5 min drive to Hebden Bridge which has some shops, large co-op to do shopping and some pubs. Sowerby bridge is approx. 15 mins down the road.

Absolutely loved the cottage and was a great location for us visitng friends. Would recommend and will def be returning.

Cottage is perfect, everything you could possibly need is provided (apart from food), beautiful location, ideally need a car but there is a bus service to hebden bridge, well worth a visit.. Nice walks nearby. Would rate this cottage 6* if i could. Even weather was kind.

We booked two of the cottages as 9 of us were meeting up for a reunion. When we arrived we had a welcome package of tea, coffee, milk, wine and chocolates!!!
Both cottages were spotlessly clean and all the information we needed was provided.
Will definitely recommend to friends and we will be looking at returning for our next reunion..

“Bliss!!”

The cottage was superb. Home from home and more. High spec kitchen area. The bathroom and bedrooms were very well done out too. Lots of space in the bedrooms to hang your clothes up and move around in. The living area was excellent too. The sofa's were so comfortable, we now want some. The view out from the doors was just beautiful even in all weathers and we saw many different weather situations during our stay.
On arrival there was a bottle of white and red wine along with Maltesers waiting for us. That was just what we needed after a long journey. The kids were happy as were we. There was as an abundance of literature for the local areas for restaurants and local sights to see. Very helpful.
Nicola couldn't have helped us any more than she did when there were a few 'glitches' when I came to book the cottage online. She 'beared' with me and we got there in the end. What I found pleasant and thoughtful was she asked how old the children were so she could suggest local things to do which was age appropriate for them. The little things really matter I guess.
We will be back in the near future.

Liked best: The view from the sofa's!!
Liked least: The slanted ceilings in the bedrooms. We all soon learned when to bend down so as not to bang our heads, again. However in a cottage of this age people shouldn't expect a show home. It is quirky.
