Visited the Arboretum, which we found rather disappointing (maybe too early in the year?), but had a lovely lunch in the restaurant. the carvery offered 5 meats and an extensive choice of vegetables and salads, the only criticism was that the sauces were not identified.

A very poor carvery basically because all the the food meat and vegetables were luke warm and overcooked although there was plenty of choice I am afraid it was quantity rater then quality, the vegetables had not been replenished and quite a few had almost run out. There was just something missing and I certainly would not return. £10.95 definitely not worth it being taken for a ride, £7.95 more like it

Been here in the past and the quality of the carvery was worth the asking price, however
now your being asked almost £10 for what is a £6 carvery at best. The lamb was over cooked and stringy, the turkey cold. Can't comment on the other meats as the limit is 2.
Veg was lukewarm warm as was the cider. Won't return.

This was about my eight visit to the restaurant. Previous visits have been pleasant experiences with good food, very tasty and well served.we have always been impressed and have recommended. The last time we did this we were surprised when the friends were definitely not impressed. We booked a table this time and arrived at 1.00 for a carvery meal The food was disappointing, both the me eat and the vegetables were cold, turkey was tough and the beef was laced with sinews. Roast potatoes had very tough skins. We didn't stay for puddings but left, disappointed.

Took Noah, the grandson here for the "Easter Hunt" We decided to have lunch before we started hunting... The place was very busy with lots of families milling about inside and out.

The restaurant was also very busy... But we got a table without booking or waiting {Result} We decided on a carvery lunch, a choice of Small at £8-99 or Large at £9-99 was on offer... Pam, my Lady and Daughter Lindsey opted for the small.

Note... The small is only the size of a child's plate, and you only get the choice of one meat with this option ?

The food was good quality and looked great, with a choice of 4 meats; But by the time we queued and got to the till... our food was only just warm enough to eat.

I decided to try a "Meat Baguette" Turkey and stuffing... very nice but again £5-25 for a bread roll with just meat on it... is overpriced as are the carvery's

On to Noah's diner... his choice was a child's lunch box, that was obtained one we got to the till. This was already made up and no choice of contents was offered?

At a price of £5-50 this was the worst deal of all...!!! This small cardboard carrier contained 2 small triangular cheese sandwiches, a small drink, {No straw} a small tub of Jelly, {No Spoon} a packet of Hula-Hoops and a Chocolate sponge roll...!!! Needless to say he he only ate the Hula-Hoops and the Choc Sponge roll.
So all in all not a good experience!!!

Moving outside to start our "Easter Hunt" This was the best part of our visit to Bodenham Arboretum, Noah loved looking for the 10"Carrots" and ticking them of his list, so that this would lead us back to the Restaurant so he could claim his prize!

The Easter Hunt was £6-50 per adult so x 3 = £19-50 Oh yes... the prize for completing the Easter Hunt... was a 30 pence chocolate lollipop.
