Stayed for one night while visiting friends. Convenient location with good parking. Decor dated especially in reception area but rooms comfortable. Breakfast was extra but overall reasonable value for money.

Doing an internship in England, I had three very pleasant months in Crowthorne sleeping at the Dial House Hotel in two different medium rooms.

The facilities look a bit tired, but the rooms are always clean.
Good diversified breakfast well prepared every morning.
Little menu for the dinner but sufficient.

There are some shops , facilities, a sport center (Wellington Sport centre), and beautiful rides and hikes around the hotel to enjoy your evenings and weekends.
This one is also surounded by awesome villages and towns to visit as Windsor, Marlow, Oxford, London, ...

And Last but not least, the manager and all employees are very friendly and accomodating.

I highly recommand this hotel for a short or a long stay !

Room Tip: Room 5 is pleasant and in a good state but just over the entrance. Room 16 looks a bit tired and just over the place people smoking.

Our room was on the ground floor and accessed by a door on a side passage by the hotel; however this was convenient because we were travelling with our dog and it saved him the hassle of numerous doors and stairs. The room was clean but tired and uninspiring. My partner said that the shower was "useless" and there were only two teabags!

We felt that the room was overpriced for what it was. The price didn't include breakfast - but we couldn't have stayed for that anyway as they didn't start serving until after we had to be somewhere else.

There was an additional charge of £20 per night for the privilege of our dog being able to join us in the room rather than being shut in the car overnight. This was the most we've ever had to pay. Many places charge nothing, most are £5 or 5 Euros and the most we've ever paid before is £8. For the £20, he got neither bed nor breakfast.

It was rather Hobson's choice for us to stay here as not many places in the area seem to be dog-friendly (they're missing out on business) but it was only for one night and we will try and find somewhere else next time, even if it's a bit further out. For those not travelling with canine companions, we recommend the Hilton in Bracknell which is better, cheaper and a good breakfast is included in the room rate.

We didn't get to see the rest of the hotel so can't comment on that. Maybe it's a lot nicer but they do seem to be trying to charge as much as possible whilst doing things on the cheap. We were going to score 3 blobs but that comes up as "average" and this could not be said to be somewhere in the middle range of our normal experience - so just two.

Room Tip: Try the Hilton

Booked in by a friend we thought it should be good at 94 pounds a night excluding breakfast. How wrong can you be! Probably one of the worst hotels and nights stay in 50 years of holiday and business trips.
Room 1 up 4 flights of stairs to the attic with beams to match for head banging (and I'm short!) Wallpaper and paint peeling off the walls and windowsill, stained carpets and dust in the corners, a kettle but no coffee and only 1 mug. Bags of laundry like a linen cupboard outside our room. Meagre, minimal assistance on arrival and no one around when we departed the following morning just had to leave the key in the hall! The toilet didn't flush properly, the shower so small, again a head banging experience. Reading some of the other reviews I don't think we stayed in the same place. All in all the worst value for money I've ever experienced.

Having stayed here several times over the last few years, we feel the hotel is now looking tired and needs attention. Unfortunately, our room was not very clean. There was deep dust along all skirting boards and huge dead spiders. The bathroom bin had not been emptied and there were hairs along the outer edge of the shower tray. One bedside lamp was not working and the other had the shade hanging off. There were tea stains on the bin in the bedroom with tea stains on the wall above it. The carpets were dirty both in our bedroom and along the corridors and the bedroom walls had lots of dirty marks on them. The bedding was clean but we could not take showers as the water pressure was so poor it came out as a trickle. And a suggestion - why not make more effort with the garden? With some pretty flower beds and tables and chairs, it could be a lovely place for guests to sit outside, maybe with drinks from the bar, and would give a pleasant outlook from the bedrooms which overlook the garden.
