I stayed at the Yotel Heathrow, right inside terminal 4 after a long and frustrating day traveling from Geneva. One flight cancelled, alternate flight delayed I was unsure I would actually arrive in Heathrow on 2 July. My son and eventually arrived at about 11.30pm and while waiting for our luggage I managed to reserve a room at Yotel using their online reservation system.
I had been advised to try the Premier Inn at Heathrow (much cheaper) but by the time I reached Heathrow their reservation line was closed and I had no luck online. The free shuttle buses from the airport stop running at 11.45pm so I didn't want to risk getting an expensive taxi to a hotel, arriving after midnight, to be told I couldn't check in. So, for a bit more money I chose Yotel.
Yotel was a new experience for me! A bit like staying in a ship's cabin - VERY compact, but everything we needed for a restful night's sleep. It was clean and comfortable. The reception staff were helpful and it was nice to have hot drinks at all hours of the night.
