We were drawn in by the sign which stated a Sunday carvery was available. It isn’t but a plated Sunday dinner is and we all chose beef.
The beef was a bit too well done for us but there was plenty of it and the roast potatoes and vegetables were plentiful and perfectly cooked.
Two of us had a chocolate and rum pot desert which was so hard it was very hard to actually eat. There was also far too much of it as it was extremely rich and we both left half our portion.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and very attentive.
We had a bottle of Rioja with our lunch which was lovely and reasonably priced.
We attempted to eat there again on a Tuesday lunchtime but were told only one chef was in and it was a limited menu none of which we fancied so we went elsewhere.
