We were drawn in by the sign which stated a Sunday carvery was available. It isn’t but a plated Sunday dinner is and we all chose beef.
The beef was a bit too well done for us but there was plenty of it and the roast potatoes and vegetables were plentiful and perfectly cooked.
Two of us had a chocolate and rum pot desert which was so hard it was very hard to actually eat. There was also far too much of it as it was extremely rich and we both left half our portion.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and very attentive.
We had a bottle of Rioja with our lunch which was lovely and reasonably priced.
We attempted to eat there again on a Tuesday lunchtime but were told only one chef was in and it was a limited menu none of which we fancied so we went elsewhere.

Thank bensup

My wife and I had a fish meal ( plaice fillet) with chips, salad and coleslaw. Plate really was not big enough but we thoroughly enjoyed it with a pleasant tasting wine.
Reasonable prices although the salad was dear...3 pounds for a small portion.
Very good service and nice surroundings.
You can have takeaway or sit for a little extra.

We went to Boscastle with my parents-in-law so two couples in theirs 30s and two in there 70s. We were a little worried as the restaurant looked empty but from the minute we stepped in to ask if we could book a table we were treated with exceptional service.
It's rare to find a restaurant that has great service, great food, and is good value for money. However this does.
A lovely special touch was the chef coming out to say hello, and actually want to have a little chat. Made my parents-in-laws holiday. To the extent we went back again the next night.
Only slight negative was it was a little cold in there the first night so we took jumpers the second but it was warm then.
A fantastic place!

Stopped here on a Sunday lunchtime. Three of us had the Sunday lunch which was excellent and the other diner ham egg and chips. All meals were served pleasantly and efficiently and the food was extremely good.

We ate here on a very quiet Sunday lunchtime. The fish and chips were very good and the two waiters were friendly, quick and helpful. Would definitely return.
