We spent a day in Boscastle and stopped into The Wellington Hotel for lunch. As it was a Sunday they were doing their roast deal - £12.50 for a full roast dinner and the dessert of the day, with a choice of locally-sourced beef or pork and vegetarian or even vegan roasts - the beef is cooked medium as standard, but they are happy to cook it however you want it if you ask. I'm a veggie, so I had the potato and leek bake (it has eggs in which is why it isn't vegan-friendly, but the vegan option is a lovely tomato-based bake). The food was served piping hot with a lovely range of vegetables, cauliflower cheese, a big, puffy Yorkshire pudding for the meat plates, and gravy (veggie gravy for me). It was all gorgeous - cooked to perfection and really tasty. My father had the fish and chips, with the fish locally sourced, the size of a whale, with triple-cooked chips. Dessert was a choice between a chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding that day - we opted for the pudding and it was served with cream, toffee sauce and little pieces of homemade fudge - divine! An utter bargain. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the Long Bar we ate in was beautifully decorated. The hotel has a luxurious but homely feel to it, and we loved sitting there in such a comfortable, relaxed, yet impressive environment. We're looking to stay in the actual hotel part now and can't wait!

Room Tip: The turret rooms are the most luxurious and are stunning.

We stayed one night in this hotel. Our room was a good size & comfortable.
The reception & restaurant staff were very friendly.
The evening meal was very tasty.
Breakfast was a bit limited for choice & smaller than we would have liked, but adequate.
The room was a bit pricey.
Card parking available.

We dropped in for a drink on the terrace in the evening and were horrified at the cost of a pint of lager and a glass of house wine. I won't even shock you with the details.Suffice to say it was very expensive.

We used the Wellington hotel just for evening meals as we were staying in a cottage up the lane.
The boscastle busker was in the first night..different but the dog wasn't happy with all the clapping so ate are meal and had to leave.
Every meal over the 4 nights we called in was first class and the staff very friendly.
I would reccommend this place and others stay there that I spoke to said the hotel was good to stay at.
Well done .
