“Habour delights...”
Reviewed November 3, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We usually rent a cottage by a beach so Boscastle was a different choice for us but we had the most fabulous week. We loved the character of the cottage...perched up on the harbour was a glorious location. I think we ate all our meals on the terrace...we were the envy of many a walker (a few offered to pay for a meal!). We all loved watching the fisherman and giggers in the harbour. We were very lucky with the weather so headed to Black Rock beach most days but we always got back in time to do some jumping off the harbour cliffs/walls. We also caught the Rock to Padstow ferry a couple of times and a trip to Port Isaac. We did a boat trip from Padstow and were lucky to have dolphins swim around the boat...and spotted a few Sunfish. We did spend a day just mooching around Boscastle and walking the coastal path.

“The Great Escape to the Coast”
Reviewed August 22, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We had seen this cottage on a previous trip to Boscastle and always promised ourselves we would check it out as a possible rental as its perfectly located. It does raise a few eyebrows when you drive along the path by the river to gain access to it though.

Tucked away upon the side of the valley, right on the coastal path overlooking the harbour it is the sort of location you see on the TV or read about.

The cottage itself is deceptively spacious, decorated and fitted to a good standard with 4 good sized bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen dishwasher, washing machine, lounge (big TV) and dining room. There's a main bathroom at first floor and a small shower and separate w/c at ground floor.

There are two car parking spaces one at the front the other in the small courtyard at the rear. Although a word of warning on the rear parking, only really suitable for a small to medium sized car as the access is a bit tight.

It is a cottage, so head clearance is a bit challenging for taller (6' +) people, especially in the bathroom.

We stayed for a week, wish it could have been longer. we really enjoyed the cottage, it ideal location would suit walkers as you leave the front door and are on the coastal path and if you want to travel slightly further its never too far to go to places like Tintagel, Port Isaac etc. A good base for a relaxing stay and touring round the area.

We would thoroughly recommend it.

“Outstanding”
Reviewed August 4, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We have visited Boscastle on many occasions and my husbands dream was always to stay in the cottage with the boat outside overlooking the harbour, and this June we did. We took my mother and father in law with us and we had a fantastic time. The cottage did not disappoint at all, everything we needed with plenty of room. The view sitting on the patio overlooking the harbour drinking coffee in the morning whilst reading and watching the world go by and in the evening having a glass of wine was beautiful. You are just a short walk down into the village with everything on hand that you need. Fantastic pub/restaurants for evening meals. Would definatley recommend Gull Cottage and will hopefully be going back. A truly little gem of Cornwall

“Beautiful House in the heart of Boscastle”

We stayed in Gull Cottage Feb 2016, me and my other half had decided we would run away to cornwall with a few family memebers and get married! as Boscastle is our favourite place in cornwall we began our search! when I saw Gull cottage it looked far too good to be true and when we were on our way there I was sure the beautiful house probably wouldn't live up to the photo's of it! but I was wrong this house is absolutely stunning! the view as you drive up to the house are amazing! it was a cold and rainy day when we arrived but it just added to the dramatic scenery! inside the house is beautiful, the rooms are really well sized! there were 8 of us plus a toddler and it was plenty big for us, the house was lovely and clean the décor was lovely and Cornish! we loved it so much! I'm so happy to rent this house out for people to enjoy! it was like a dream!!! tip for people staying groups, make sure you get to the sea facing bedrooms first! waking up to that view each morning is amazing!! ha ha
beautiful thank you so much for having us, can't wait to come back! hopefully a 1 year anniversary celebration!! :).

“A Gem of a Cottage situated in a stunning location!”

I stayed with a few friends in this amazing Cottage.
The cottage is well laid out and easily held 5 adults. All the rooms were in great condition except for the living room which was let down by a broken sofa and a lamp that would not work. The kitchen was spacious and had everything you could expect. The real selling point is the location it is situated in. I have never seen a such a spectacular location before, it just blew our minds away.
Gull Cottage is a stunning cottage situated in the most spectacular location, we were so impressed that we were planning our next trip down there. You will not be disappointed when booking this cottage,

“Perfect location in perfect Boscastle!”

Great communication from the owners - all went very smoothly. Gull cottage is a cosy, well equipped cottage in the most perfect location. Has a lovely wood burning stove if needed for those cosy evenings in. Beds very comfortable. Loved the flexibility of being able to just walk out the front door and straight onto the coastal path or down to the village shops/restaurants/pubs etc. - lots of freedom for teenagers. This cottage has sun all afternoon right into the evening so perfect for that aperitif or cup of tea on the small terrace overlooking the bay. Loved the Cobweb, The Nap & The Riverside Restaurant but my absolute favourite was the Boscastle Farm Shop for breakfast or lunch. - stunning views & food. For me it is always about the location & this cottage is hard to beat. The coastline around Boscastle is stunningly beautiful - even in the rain!
