“Fantastic place in a beautiful location.”
Reviewed October 14, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We stayed at this place in September 2014 and had a wonderful time. The hosts Tracey and Peter (and Ziggy the dog) really looked after us and the little personal touches of the cream teas and local beer are a welcome idea. Situated in a central position in Cornwall you have ready access to most of the main places to see such as Padstow, Looe, Tavistock and Launceston. The cottage itself is absolutely lovely and we could have lived there - I would thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay.

“Everything you need for a relaxing stay”
Reviewed October 14, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

I had a week at Sherwell Cottage on my own (due to my intended party's accident and illness). Tracey made me very welcome and left a wonderful cream tea for me to enjoy (as well as some Doom Bar and wine). The cottage is very well equipped and has everything needed for a great holiday. The grounds are very peaceful and the surrounding area offers masses to do.

“The perfect getaway cottage”
Reviewed October 2, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Sherwell Cottage is a beautiful house set within a tranquil location, the ideal place to stay for a relaxing break. The house is perfectly presented throughout with a large kitchen, two bathrooms, three tastefully decorated bedrooms and large sitting room with wood burning stove. The house also offers a private outdoor garden and BBQ area plus fields and woodland to explore.

The cottage is well located, a great base for visiting the Cornish coastline, Dartmoor or the picturesque Tamar Valley.

The cottage has everything that you would expect and more, it is well located yet equally warm and comfortable.

We certainly will be returning, but by the sounds of previous comments were not the only ones!

“If all holiday rentals were like this!”
Reviewed May 21, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Fully agree with previous reviews regarding the high quality of this "cottage" (more like a three bedroom house!) and attractions nearby.
Looks like a new (large and fully equipped) kitchen and bathroom, tatesfully decorated, beds really comfortable, ample parking, views over fields and woodland, babbling brook running alongside.
Proprietors very attentive and helpful without being invasive. They live in the only other house within some miles so no noisy neighbours!
Very peaceful and ideal for walkers and visiting the picturesque countryside and coasts.
We've booked for next year!

“Lovely, rural escape, great for families.”
Reviewed March 4, 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. It felt like a real home from home with everything you need. It is in a great setting with stunning views all around. Our 8 year old girls loved playing in the grounds and exploring the woods (as did our dog!), with the rope swing a particular favourite! The property is also ideally located for visiting beaches on both coasts -Seaton and Bude are worth a visit - with The Eden Project, Tintagel Castle, Port Isaac and Plymouth and it's Aquarium all within easy reach for great days out. More locally I would highly recommend a trip to Calstock where you can take a lovely walk up to Cotehele Mill and House along the river. Nice pubs here too! We had a really lovely stay and will definitely come again.
