We stayed at Tyacks from 22 - 25 June. We had a twin room at the front of the hotel. We had our dog with us. The room was huge with lots of storage and was immaculate in every way.
The staff are just so welcoming and were lovely with our dog.
The breakfasts were fantastic with a huge choice and nothing was too much trouble.
We ate twice in the restaurant and the food was lovely.
Would not hesitate to return or recommend this fantastic hotel.

They do warn about noise on Friday/Saturday, but we stayed during the week for business and still found it very noisy! Mainly being able to hear other guests through walls/ceilings and noise from the road outside.

There is parking on site which they give you a permit for when you check in so you don’t have to pay. Reception staff very friendly.

Rooms are very basic.Had a big bath and a shower in the bathroom. Curtains not lined/black out & no blinds so very light in room.

Had food in the on site restaurant which was very nice - good range of choices & HUGE portions! Reasonably priced too.

Breakfast also has a wide range available and the ‘breakfast lady’ - Jenny - is very friendly and accommodating.

I enjoyed my one night here last Saturday. Let's get the noise bit out of the way first: Yes they are very open about the functions on Fridays and Saturdays and that it can be noisy. I was right over the disco and can firm that the play all the old disco classics, even 'I will survive'. Well I did, once it all quietened down around midnight though all was good. The room was surprisingly roomy for a single, nice and clean and everything worked. The staff were great, nice pint to be had in the bar. Breakfast was a real highlight - a good choice and nicely cooked. I'd go back, maybe midweek :)

Room tip: Get a room at the back of the hotel.

Well the Tyacks Hotel does have a warning on it's own web site about Friday and Saturday nights being very noisy. I can confirm it is. we had a room which to be honest we had no idea where we were in relation to the rest of the building. as we went up stairs along corridors down stairs through fire doors turned corners and generally got to our room by just following the finger signs. We did find out we were above a very noisy part of the pub. We stayed during the May day bank holiday so Sunday night we had expected the pub to be quieter. Sadly this was not the case it was as noisy as the other nights. We had done a lot of walking that day so were so tired that we did manage to get to sleep. Unfortunately at 2 am someone tried to get in to our room. I had to get up and explain to two young ladies that the room was occupied. It turned out they were looking for room 6 and we were in room 9. They had read the number on their key upside down. Now this wasn't the hotels fault but it added to the colour of our experience. The room was adequate for our needs and the sheets were clean and all the plumbing worked. The breakfast was good with the cooked part served at a steady pace. The music in the breakfast area could be turned down a number of notches as we had been subjected to music for most of the previous nights. The car park was covered by a ticket form the hotel and made parking much easier than it might have other wise been. We picked this hotel as it was one of the few that was dog friendly. Sadly we are now dog less and as such it is unlikely we will return to Tyacks. But be warned they do mean it when they say it is noisy.

Room tip: Check to see if you can get a quiet room.
