“Fantastic!! Enjoyed every minute really did not want to leave !”
Reviewed August 13, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Me and my partner stayed here and both agree it's the best place we have ever stayed very deserving of the 5* rating. We found it to be a very central location with plenty of things to do in a 10mile radius
We are hoping to return soon

“An ideal base for exploring Cornwall”
Reviewed June 15, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The property was finished to a high standard and was very clean, it had all the comforts of home which is what you need at the end of a hard day sight seeing. It's an ideal base for exploring Cornwall, and I wouldn't hesitate in booking it again in the future.

“Beautiful hideaway”
Reviewed February 12, 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We spent a weekend in the Shippen and were extremely pleased with the beauty of the cottage and surrounding area. It has been decorated to a high standard without losing its traditional charm and appeal. We took time to explore surrounding Tintagel and Bude and had a lovely meal in nearing Wadebridge. Helen, the owner, was helpful friendly and welcoming. We don't think we could have enjoyed our stay more and can't wait to come back.

“Christmas hideaway in Cornwall !”
Reviewed December 31, 2013 for a stay in December 2013

This first class accommodation , converted from old farm buildings ,proved to be an excellent location for a quiet Christmas getaway ! The quality of the cottage was excellent and it even had a Christmas tree provided ! Warm and cosy it offered all the facilities you could wish for .

Good location for exploring the north coast of Cornwall as well as further inland.

The cottages available offer a variety of sizes to suit all needs with each retaining its privacy.

“Great quality accommodation ideally situated for exploring Cornwall”
Reviewed October 5, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

An enjoyable stay at the Shippen barn. Tastefully furnished with modern facilities, including comfy bed and jacuzzi bath, just what is needed after a long walk.
The barn us situated in a quiet location, ideally positioned for exploring North Cornwall.
The walk from Port Quin to Port Isaac is a bit of a challenge but the views are well worth it,
Many thanks to Helen for making us feel so welcome, we would certainly recommend this property as an ideal Cornwall base.

“Holiday Retreat With That Little Bit Extra”
Reviewed September 12, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

The Shippen is an ideal place to stay for your visit to North Cornwall. The property has modern facilities in an idylic setting.
The property has a modern living and dining area with a superb kitchen with all the requirements if you need to go self catering.
Close to the River Camel where you can take a stroll along the river to the town of Camelford.
Camelford is within east reach of some fantastic coastal towns which include Tintagel, Boscastle Padstow and a visit to Port Issac is a must.
We were greeted by Helen Connolly who helped to make our stay most welcoming.
