“A SUPERB CORNISH COTTAGE”
Reviewed August 31, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Me, my wife, my daughter, my son and grandson stayed in this cottage for a week. We really enjoyed our holiday in Cornwall by staying in this cottage. Mike & Kay welcomed us so warmly on our arrival. They were cheerful, friendly and helpful hosts. Though the cottage designed for 4 occupants, but the Z bed was comfortable for the grandson. We would not hesitate to go back again to this cottage and I shall highly recommend it for my family and friends.

“A gem with friendly hosts”
Reviewed July 20, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We - Grandma, two children of 13 & 14, Riley our black lab and I - have enjoyed a week in Sage Cottage. We arrived to a Cornish tea (and treats for Riley). The cottage was clean and well equipped. We slept well in comfortable beds and peaceful surroundings. It was a good base to explore north Cornwall, but there was so much to see we'll definitely be back.

“Dog friendly accomadation”
Reviewed July 9, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed here for a long weekend, wish it was longer. Mike was very friendly as where his two dogs Ruby and Darcy, made us feel very welcome. The cottage had everything we needed, very quiet and relaxing. My own dog Molly really loved the outside space and was very chilled. A good base for visiting both sides of cornwall and everything in between. Will hopefully return in the future.

“Tucked away, but easy to get everywhere”
Reviewed June 5, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Charming conversion of old farmyard buildings into a very comfortable base for getting about the whole of Cornwall. Delightful touches - the scones and cream to welcome us, the offer of logs for the woodburning stove on an unexpectedly chilly June evening, and friendly owners who were there if we needed them but did not intrude. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here with my husband & daughter for 4 nights from 8th to 12th September in Sage Cottage. A lovely peaceful place to stay. The cottage has 2 bedrooms one with an ensuite attached. The main bedroom is on the first floor off the open plan lounge. The second is downstairs which has an ensuite as well as the bathroom. The open plan lounge has a full working wood burner although was not used during our stay due to very warm weather. Two 2 seater leather sofas in the lounge and a small flat screen TV. Also free wifi was provided Table & four chairs for eating in the kitchen area. Although the kitchen was small it was still ok. Dishwasher was also fitted. £1 coins required for the electric meter. A cream tea of scones, clotted cream and jame was provided for us in the ottage when we arrived which was really lovely. Outdoor play area was provided for children as well as an indoor games room. Would definately come back again and also recommend it my friends and family. Thank you for a lovely 4 day break.

“An idyllic retreat in the Cornish countryside”

My partner and I stayed at Sage cottage for a long weekend with friends and our dogs. The owners Mike and Kay gave us a very warm welcome as well as their dogs Ruby and Darcy. The cottage was lovely and clean when we arrived and was well equipped with everything we would need. This included everything for the dogs such as beds, bowls, towels and a lovely doggy treat each. The cream tea was a delightful treat and there was even a pint of milk in the fridge. The log burner was also lovely for cosy evenings in with a glass of wine.

The cottage was close to Bodmin Moor and in our short stay we managed to visit several places such as Looe, Seaton, Polperro - a lovely picturesque harbour and Port Isaac the setting of Doc Martin.

Remember to bring some pound coins for the meter. It is very reasonable. We used plenty of electricity for the T.V, cooker and lights etc and it cost us about £5.

We look forward to returning to Sage Cottage in the future.
