We returned home today after a 4 day long weekend at Leycroft. We miss it already!! We stayed in Croft Lodge 1, it was amazingly clean, tidy, extremely well equipped and attention to detail was fantastic! The hot tub was extremely clean, well cared for and a great treat any time of the day! The only criticism would be the tv in the living area was very small, however we spent most evenings out on the decking area enjoying bbq's (portable BBQ on legs, these are allowed, disposable ones are not due to fire hazard) so it wasn't too much of an issue, it was only when we wanted to watch a DVD when it got cold in the evenings that u would realise how small the tv was so no big deal. Hence why I rate this location as 5 star- it was clean, tidy, perfect idyllic location, friendly staff, lovely little on site bar and a perfect retreat for couples. We both work extremely hard and enjoy the finer things in life, this definitely lived up to all expectations and more!!! Will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a perfect weekend.

Heavenly! And yes we DO get away often haha.. Found so much to do around the local areas, walking, ferry, eateries, shops were extremely reasonable on prices (cheaper and better quality food than Somerset).. The sun shined, a few showers here and there made the stay all that more magical as we had a fantastic Jaccuzi all to ourselves ( all the chalets and log cabins do) to jump into day or night. The staff were brilliant on site, very respectful and courteous, not there when you dont need them, there when you do ~ magical. Dogs are allowed and it was nice to see people relaxing with their pets. Popped to the garden centre, it was huge and a good days outing, the restaurant served fab food. I liked everything about Leycroft Valey, the natural brook that meanders through the centre of the park and the "no-holds-barred" trees with log cabins discreetly hidden.. I cant say enough about this idylic heaven on earth, and whats more, I own a farm in a tiny hamlet in Brittany France but couldnt compete with the peaceful serenity of this wonderful holiday park.. Full marks 10 out of 10.. Take a holiday here and see what I mean.. xxx

Room Tip: We had a chalet that sleeps 4, all the facilities are clean and well kept, dont worry if it rains a...

Stayed here for a weekend for my birthday treat. Picking a lodge from the map isn't great as in reality the site is as the name says in a lodge, so some lodges are higher up than others. I believe we picked perfectly, just by chance. We booked Mill Lodge M2 - nobody could over look our hot tub and we could see over the valley. Just perfect.

The lodge had everything, and I mean everything you could possibly need for the weekend. The place was immaculate, the 4 poster bed was lovely. The place is very contemporary, but they have certainly thought of everything.

Room Tip: Mill Lodge M2 or M1 - brilliant.

Having returned today after spending one week here in a coombe lodge I felt I had to write this review. Overall the holiday was amazing and Cornwall is beautiful even though weather wasnt perfect ha ha this is England! The staff on arrival were lovely and the site is just beautiful and so peaceful. The hottub was amazing but ours was way too close to the trees and yes it happened.....bird pooped on my head first night but we laughed about it but it did make us wary rest of the week so not much relaxing in there. It had fully functional kitchen with all utensils you could need and more except for the fridge/freezer. So so small. You cant call it a freezer which we found an issue as we constantly had to keep shopping instead of doing one big shop. The tv in the living area was way too small. We like to shut ourselves away in the evening make tea, have a glass of wine or 2 and watch dvds but we struggled to see the tv. There were loads of storage in the bedroom which was good but however the bed and pillows were so hard and we had bad backs and serious lack of sleep.
We loved the place and we would return if memory foam mattress placed on beds and proper fridge freezer and larger tv installed.
Weve stayed in numerous lodges and we are easily pleased so its ashame that we cannot say it was perfect but small changes and it will be.

We have stayed at Leycroft numerous times over the last 6 years and it just gets better each and every time!! The staff are friendly, helpful and actually seem to care about us when we arrive and during our stay.

Every time we have stayed, the lodges have been immaculately cleaned, are well furnished and the hot tub is always a lovely treat after a day on the beach!! The site is clearly well maintained (you can see the guys out and about working for most of the day!) and just makes for a generally lovely break!!

The site is small and quiet and doesn't have the clubhouse, arcade, swimming pool etc that you find on big "commercial" sites, but this is perfect for us because it is very relaxing!!

I'm not entirely sure what the post of 8th April is talking about (or even if they stayed there!!), but we have certainly NEVER had any of the issues mentioned in that post... and we have stayed at Leycroft on approximately 8 different occassions!!

Room Tip: Personally, we like the Mill Lodges - yes, you have to walk further from your car... but you get a s...

Another sunny week spent in Leycroft Valley. The birds were singing, the ducks were quacking and not a sign of a rat to be seen. I have read most of the reviews on Leycroft and have to agree with everyone that commends the place, the staff are friendly and always helpful, the place is always immaculately clean and being in a wooded valley you do get the flora and occasionally forna, wandering about. I have to admit that in every visit to Leycroft not once have I seen a rat though, I can well believe they exist and well believe that their natural habitat would be a wooded valley. To expect to not get any wildlife in a large concrete hotel I can accept, but if your going to get back to nature then nature comes in many guises. Maybe foodmad89 would be better off in the Hilton in a concrete jungle such as London, although I hear they have foxes in London so maybe that would be no good either!!!!

If you want a relaxing holiday in the peace and quiet of the great British countryside then go to Leycroft Valley. If you want a holiday that is covered in concrete so the wildlife doesn't tresspass then go to Disneyland, just watch out fr Mickey!!!!

See you soon for me next holiday.

Room Tip: The lodge by the duckpond is the best I have been in.

An excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. We arrived a few hours before check in and were shown around our lodge without having to wait until the correct time. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The lodge was spotlessley clean with everything provided for a self catering holiday. There was plenty of space in the lodge for 2 adults, 1 teenager and a dog. The hot tub was the ideal place to relax after a long day walking and the robes and slippers provided were a luxurious extra! We ordered food from The Leats which was reasonably priced and tasted great. A lovely peaceful holiday and we will definately return....can not fault it.
