We are regulars at Hustyns and the pool itself and gym etc is great. Unfortunately recent visits over the autumn/winter haven't been as enjoyable as previously, prior to having oursecond child.

We have two young children, a young baby and toddler. The pool facilities used to be perfect for us as it was always quiet and we often had the had pool to ourselves. The water temperature was also nice and warm; great for kids. This is not the case in recent months and more often than not the water has been too cold for me and baby to stay in longer than 10 minutes or so. It does appear warmer at peak times such as weekends but not mid week day time.

Lately the pool is really busy at weekends so we are having to park at the end of the parking area which isn't a problem with a child aged 2 and above but is a nightmare for anyone carrying a young baby in her car seat, a toddler and swimming bags. It would make such a difference if they had mother and baby spaces. I appreciate this probably isn't feasible but thought it was worth mentioning.

The changing room just isn't equipped to cater for more than 10-12 people at any one time. There are only two changing cubicles and two benches, the latter only providing room enough for 4-6 people in total. I had to wait ten minutes for a space to change. I used one side of the bench and could only fit myself and baby seat on it. People were having to change facing the lockers and were clearly uncomfortable. About 5 children were running around shouting; it was very chaotic and stressful.

The baby changing table is situated just inside the door leading to the pool and is about 1 metre wide so I felt that I was in everyone's way as the went to and from the pool. Wet people were also rubbing up against me as I undressed my baby and was still fully clothed. The bin was round the corner by the toilets too so I had to temporarily leave the dirty nappy on the changing table whilst I took the baby to her car seat and strapped her in. Not great.

There is a family changing room which caters for one family at a time but it's quite a way up the hall near the gym and is always absolutely freezing. You'd also have to walk to the pool in your swim wear unless you brought your own bath towel as the towels provided are tiny and don't wrap around you unless you're a size 10. Unfortunately Hustyns had to change the towels provided due to people stealing the luxurious ones.

On the whole great place, staff are friendly and helpful though there is one guy that's always a bit offish and never says hello. The manager Paul is a lovely and always greets you with a smile, going out of his way to accommodate you.

Was immediately reminded of Royal Westmoreland (which is a compliment) in terms of surrounding gardens, roaming wildlife (deer instead of monkeys), golf buggies, and quality of accommodation.
The communal swimming pool pleased those that used it as did the gym.
Our fridge wasn't cold enough to keep milk or beer and our double bed mattress was probably due for a change (hard as nails).
But apart from those niggles have no other complaints at all.
The wifi arrangement doesnt allow for Chromecast - but who's does?
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would book again without hesitation.

Have been with clc may times to this resort and always really enjoyed our stay.

Unfortunately times have changed and the whole place seems to have lost its sparkle.

Evenings are like a ghost town no guest around all bars and restaurants closed real shame.
Used to be a great place to socialise and meet friends but this is the last visit to this resort i'm afraid such a shame!!.

This was our 2nd time here and the place it still lovely, very relaxed and great for a quiet holiday. We stayed in a 3 bed premier lodge and you get everything you need. However the only facilities now available is the pool & spa. So this leaves very little to do in the evening without driving every night. There are several lovely country pubs to visit all of which get very busy so you need to book in advance if you are eating. We knew that the entertainment area was closed and we had a great time despite this. Unfortunately this means the kids didn't get chance to make any friends staying at the resort which they have done so before, as you don't see anyone. Don't think we would book here again unless it has a bar & evening entertainment.

Loved Hustyns when we visited the last 2 times but you seem trapped that there is no bar , restaurant etc. Lucky we had gone in 2 cars and shared driving. Standards around the the resort are poor and the lodge we stayed at need a lick of paint but still a fabulous lodge especially the upstairs suite.
