Really enjoyed our stay recently. The bed and pillows are SO COMFORTABLE. The staff are lovely. Lovely grounds and nice room. Plenty of parking right outside the front doors. The bar was nice and cosy with a fireplace and was actually open! Enjoyed a cocktail. Highly recommend.
Played the golf course for the first time in several years, having previously played there annually. Course was in good condition but our enjoyment was hampered because the course layout wasn't available on MISCORE app & there are no distance markers. We had to play without knowing distances, simply not acceptable these days. The course has to fix this if they expect return custom.
The twin room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was cooked to order with extras available on the buffet. It was amazing. The only things I could say was the restaurant was onlyopen from Wed nights and the toilet was exceptionally low to the floor. But otherwise I thought it was a great place to stay while in Bowral. We ate at the Imperial Hotel in Bowral which was very good. The pool was lovely and heated. All in all a great hotel to stay in.
Review of the Observatory restaurant. Waitress was friendly but we needed to ask another waiter for the menu a good five minutes after arriving. Our children received their meals in good time. Unfortunately my wife and I did not receive our meals at least 90 minutes after arriving at the restaurant. Food was well prepared and presented, although we had ordered a side of vegetables which didn’t arrive. We were still hungry and were disappointed that the best looking dessert on the menu was unavailable so we skipped dessert altogether. Disappointing experience.
The hotel was great from the moment you walked into the lobby. It smelt divine. Easy check in. Friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Included breakfast was great and very filling. Would definitely recommend.
