“So tranquil & relaxing, the most idyllic place to unwind & recharge.”
Reviewed April 20, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Just returned from our 5th stay & we can't rate this private piece of paradise highly enough. The artistry of the house & magnificent gardens immediately slow us into a carefree mode of living. Close enough to easily enjoy all that the gorgeous Byron area has to offer, but with a sense of being worlds away from any hustle & bustle.
We love the blissful Bluegreen House, the superb hosts & the green acres with lush gardens. The kids enjoy the interaction with the animals, the pool and their adventurous bedding arrangement! Hang out the beach towels, light the plates of candles, select some cool music, strike up the BBQ, nestle into a comfy chair, savour the serenity and watch the stars come out! We will be back!

“So much to enjoy, so little time....”
Reviewed March 10, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Our little family had an awesome time at this beautiful property. The house is beautiful, views divine, animals delightful and the owner - Simon - was an added bonus. We enjoyed chatting and learning about the area as well as taking a unique pony ride through the gully. All amenities in the house are great - especially the bedrooms! Loved it. Will return!

“The Blue Green House a Magical Experience for a Magical Occasion”
Reviewed February 2, 2015 for a stay in November 2014

The Blue Green House was the perfect setting for our wedding day and an amazing place to stay. It had everything we needed, endless options for the most magical photos, a place for the ceremony, pre-reception drinks, a perfect area to set-up the marquee and a hidden treasure of a house which was great for getting ready on the day, it was also amazing to utilise it to relax before and recoup after the big day.

The spa bath and outdoor showers were awesome and to wake-up to the peace and quite in such a busy time was so refreshing.

The hospitality as a guest at the house was also exceptional with fresh coffee and milk each day, this was definite needed refreshment and I’m not sure if we would have survived the week without it.

Simon was an absolute pleasure to deal with and we have struck up a great friendship from the day, he went well over and beyond to make us welcome and ensure we had everything we needed for the most amazing day of our lives. He was there every step of the way before hand and also during the day. Craig and I can't thank him enough.

“Loved staying here”
Reviewed December 5, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We stayed here for 4 nights & absolutely loved it. The house is very unique, in particular the oversized stone bath & spa bath & the huge bunk bed in the second bedroom (which could probably sleep 10 children!) The privacy that the house offers is excellent while not closing off the beautiful outdoor surroundings. The children loved the animals & thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor areas. We would have enjoyed the pool more if it was heated during our stay. We had cooler weather & the pool was not heated so we couldn't enjoy it as much as we would have liked.
We will definitely be returning & recommend- perfect for families needing a quiet break.

Management Response
7 Dec 2014
Hi Bernard,
Thanks for your review of the BlueGreen House.
We are so glad you loved your stay and enjoyed a few of the unique aspects of the house.
We apologise for the pool not being heated. We are committed to offering a quality experience and part of achieving that means making sure that everything is working all the time and that we deliver on our promises. So we were naturally upset to hear that the pool was not heated during your stay.
It has been fixed and as small compensation we would like to offer you a free night at the BlueGreen House should you choose to stay again....and we hope you do! There is no expiry date - just let us know whenever it suits you.
Thanks for your feedback and all the best.
Simon

“Loved everything about it.”
Reviewed December 3, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We spent ten idyllic days in this lovely property and felt privileged to do so. The outlook from the house is spectacular: a perfect valley replete with lake, pavillion, grazing horses and llamas and emerald green grass. It sounds such a cliche but it was Shangri La. It was so peaceful we could have stayed many days longer. The owners are on the property but we're entirely unobtrusive except when providing timely and welcome assistance with making up a room when a friend came to stay and when we ran out of gas ( should have read the instructions that came with the house!). They were both charming. The house itself was beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything you could wish for and the bathrooms were amazing. I have not a single suggestion which is unusual! Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Be aware that with grazing animals, there lots of poo so stay on the wooden walkways.

“Absolutely AMAZING: Bali meets Australia”
Reviewed November 4, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

My partner & I have been lucky enough to stay many, many fancy places all over the world & I honestly have to say this was one of my very favourites out of them all!!
From the moment you walk through the door at BG House, you'll glide into holiday mode... You'll feel a million miles from anyone or everyone else but yet strangely safe! Beautiful furnishings, spacious rooms, clean, modern bathrooms & spas, outdoor showers, a pool, a beautiful 4 poster bed, a balcony... You are honestly spoiled for choice! Not to mention the outdoor area! The patio, the different areas of seating to laze around on, the little gazebo on the lake... Oh my goodness- I couldn't decide where to sit & which part to enjoy first!!
&... It's only a 10 min drive from the center of Byron! Perfect excuse to nip into town, grab some food / drink, have a cook-off, then relax with a drink in hand whilst watching the sun go down!
Highly recommend this little piece of Bali inspired heaven tucked away in the countryside. Sad I've given away the secret!! Will definitely be back. Thank-you :)
