It's hard to describe Tapas on York, because it has some unusual features. In the era of so many restaurants that are solely open for dinner (which I hate), they have breakfast, lunch AND dinner.

I've been here for both breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is my favorite and if they offer freshly made scones on the menu, take them up on it! Just like they don't do actual tapas, their scones are more like breakfast rolls than scones, but they are delicious. I had the pecan and praline french toast and it was amazing! Many egg options but many other choices, as well.

Lunch is mostly a make-your-own sandwich, with many options. The brisket is very tasty, but the amount of meat is disappointing if you like more meat-to-bread in your preference ratio. They also make some interesting soups (apple-onion!) and salads.

They have spectacular-looking cupcakes for dessert, but they display them without any glass covering, so they dry up too quickly for my taste.

Service is friendly and casual--not remotely stuffy or annoying.

If you know what to expect, you will be very happy with this restaurant for lunch and dinner.

We look forward to Mothers day everyday and we always try a new place. We decided to try this place for the first time for brunch on Mother's day. We were sadly disappointed. The menu looked amazing and huge online and it just stand up to what we though it would be. Staff was friendly and the place is cute but unfortunately too small in my opinion for a buffet style brunch. There was too many people jammed in there and they had the buffet table actually blocking one restroom so it was unisex for the day. Alot of stuff/junk... it looked like, piled up in the back by the bathroom too. They had one special, eggs Benedict but with salmon instead of canadian bacon and they wouldn't do it without the salmon unfortunately. That was a letdown to such a great dish. We picked and tried alot of different items such as the crab fritters, the chorizo tort was bland and no spice at all, cream blintz, sausage gravy and chipped beef (eagle diner is better). It just wasn't great. We have been to mothers day buffet brunches that were much better. I would like to visit here for dinner to see if the food is any better but I wouldn't recommend another brunch buffet. The blueberry mimosas were the best part of the meal. I'll give an average review given that it was a special occasion... and maybe they don't do breakfast and lunch well.

We've been here quite a few times for breakfast or lunch. The food selections range from classic to creative and we've enjoyed both. One standout was a special crab filled omelet which was loaded with jumbo crab. Most of the time I have to take half of an omelet home.
The menu takes a while to study the first time around but the combinations offered are
very nice. The prices are very reasonable.

Soups were good. Way too large for before a meal. Chicken was described as unbreaded; instead, it had a thick breading and was VERY dry. Man right outside our window was hanging lights. Made us feel very nervous. Would not go again.

The dishes did not meet the expectation of the restaurant name. The food was great. Many choices too. Hoever the servings were too big and served as one entree. Very easily could be converted into tapas shareable servings to better match the name of the restaurant.
