Awesome location, super private. We saw platypus! And the suspended bed, just spectacular. Dinner was a bit ordinary for the price and features such as the spa and fire were in the breezeway which was freezing, maybe should be cheaper rate for winter? We had a lovely experience in general.

Thanks you for your suggestion Jewelz. The breezeway has doors and cafe blinds to keep the warmth from the fireplace in, so this will only be warm if these are closed. All of the other rooms have air conditioning so they are very warm.

We hope to see you in one of the other lodges sometime, which don't have a breezeway.

Warmest regards,
Casey

We wanted an experience with a difference to enjoy & remember & this was certainly the location for that - Wow Wow Wow! 2 nights in the wooden yurt with a 180° deck with hammock; spa bath; dining table & sunloungers hidden in the forest & overlooking a small creek was pure "chill out". The fridge was full of b'fast goodies & Casey dropped off a basket with lovely hot fresh bread & left it on the horn outside for us. We ordered a slow cooker dinner the first night with desert to eat when we felt like it & this was very tasty & we enjoyed this by candle & moonlight whilst listening to the native "sounds of the night". Then we stayed 3 nights in the Earth "Cave" with eclectic decor, floor 2 ceiling windows; outside spa on one side & fabulous & ever changing views of Mt Warning from the other. The free decanter of port was excellent whilst moonbaking! EXCELLENT in every way. P.S not for those that expect "posh". Fabulous Host Fabulous Place

We stayed in the Water lodge earlier this month and it was pure heaven, we did not want to leave! The Balinese feel is truly stunning with lots of gorgeous little touches everywhere. The outside tub and the suspended double bed were just a few of our favourite things! I loved the split rooms with the open balcony in the middle which was perfect for a BBQ at sunset. You have all the luxuries you need here for a truly relaxing and self sufficient stay with a BBQ, full kitchen and all the mod cons but still keeping that stylish interior. A perfect escape surrounded by lush nature and mountains.

Spent two nights in the Water lodge, so relaxing. The lodge is fully kitted out, and Casey supplies a great spread of food. Our fridge was fully stocked with more than enough breakfast items for us to cook and eat whenever you want - either on the bbq or stove top. Spa was great after our big walk up Mt Warning. Waking up each morning to the sound of birds and running water was amazing with a great view of the lake. Didn't see the platypus, maybe next time!
Looking forward to our next trip there.

This is 3rd time we have been here. It is beautiful. If you won't bling it is not for you. It is high end relax and no stress.
My only advice is that you pack cheese and extras.
We cooked lobster tails on our first night and then another great meal the next night
We didn't leave our lodge in 2 days
If you don't cook Mavis Kitchen 3 minutes down the road is fantastic
Casey is a wonderful host
