We popped in for a coffee and also makes great scones with real cream and jam. The guy, Graeme, owns and runs the cafe as well as giving tours of his opal mine. He goes above and beyond and is very passionate about opals and his work. Great narrative, sense of humour and makes you feel as if you're a long lost friend. The tour is worth every cent and more that we paid. It's supposed to run for an hour but he doesn't rush people through and you can find him after the tour with the clients helping them dig through the mullock heaps trying to find opals. Amazing character with a lot of personality. This is what makes White Cliffs. They call it the friendly Opal fields.
