Gift selection is unique- not the same things you see in every other Nation Park gift shop. They also book tours of the park- exceptional in service and extremely informative. Highly recommend.

The Encampment Store is located within the Valley Forge Visitor Center. We had toured Valley Forge Park several times before but had never visited the store. This time we did and my wife bought a Valley Forge medallion for her walking stick. They have a nice selection of books related to the American Revolution and of course plenty of souvenirs.

The Encampment Store has a penny machine! This is an important fact to know. Aside from that, store has a great selection of souvenirs and a limited selection of snacks. Staff is nice and very helpful.

Six of us (of all ages) took the trolley tour and we all thought it was exceptional. The trolley drives you through the park, with two stops along the way. In summertime the sides of the trolley open up. The tour is narrated and includes two stops, the first to see how the soldiers lived, and the second at Washington's headquarters. The best part of the tour was the narration. The young man who narrated our tour was knowledgeable and did a fantastic job conveying history at large, and especially what it was like to live in the encampment. If you're visiting Valley Forge, do the tour! Highly recommended.

The encampment store offers a short video, some reading material, and a gift shop. The highlight of the shop's offerings would be the 90 minute historic tour through Valley Forge. The guide was excellent and very informative. You get off at two stops - one to talk to a ranger and see the wooden structures the soldiers lived in and the other was George Washington's headquarters. You can bring drinks on the trolley which you can buy in the encampment store. Also, when sitting down on the trolley facing the front, make sure you are on the left side. I say this because you only get off at two stops, and you will have a better vantage point of statues and structures discussed on the tour if you sit on the left.
