It’s a beautiful hotel with a friendly staff, but…We we’re given a room that overlooks the rooftop bars next door. There were people partying until 2am and the sound travels into the rooms. I went to the front desk the next morning and was told ear plugs are free at the desk. Great, but who wants to have to get dressed again at 1am to go to the desk to get them? I told them there should be two complimentary pairs in each room on that side of the hotel.
Then the breakfast…they charge $17.50 for the exact same breakfast buffet that is free at every Hampton Inn Hotel. There are terrific breakfast cafes within a block or two in every direction of the hotel. Eat at one of those instead! We liked the “New Holland Coffee Company” across the street, and Prince Street Cafe two blocks away.
On Monday, the day we were checking out, we were trying to save time and eat at their breakfast buffet anyway, and it closed an hour before it was supposed to. That was inconvenient! We went back to New Holland Coffee Company and had a great made to order breakfast that was less expensive than the hotels skimpy buffet.More
