We stayed at this hotel while in Lancaster for a convention. It far exceeded our expectations which were pretty high given the beautiful website for the hotel. Unique loft like rooms, art everywhere, quiet room, cool bar and restaurant. The continental breakfast was extremely large with many offerings. Can't say enough about this place!

Beautiful, historic building, totally retrofitted and therefore all new. Exposed brick everywhere. Quiet rooms with great showers and sketchbooks in case you'd like to contribute to the art that surrounds you. Good beds, though I could do without the pillow-top mattresses. Covered parking. Great location about two blocks from Franklin and Marshall campus and close to downtown. Flatscreen television. Free wifi. Free breakfast and free coffee all day. The bar and restaurant off the lobby are very popular, with inviting atmospheres. Restaurant known for local/organic food, and let us order at 10pm even though kitchen was closing then. Food interesting and excellent. Small workout room, but huge, brand new YMCA (with workout room, pool and basketball court) right across the street, where hotel guests can go for free.

All in all, just a great place.

Very modern hotel with loft style exposed brick, large glass walled showers, boutique style hallways and post-industrial feel.

The hotel itself has a lot to offer: free wifi that worked well, large continental breakfast and good breakfast room, free covered parking in their garage right next door, turn down service with a rose put on the bed, and good in room products.

The price was a little high, and that is the only reason why I can't give it 5 stars (I booked last minute, but it was pretty steep for a standard night in Lancaster, PA)

I've stayed at this hotel 3 times, and have had great experiences on all 3 occasions. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Nice decor and ammenities. Turn-down service with chocolates is a pleasant touch. Nice breakfast buffet - try the breakfast burritos.

A minor complaint - the rooms can seem a bit dark, since there is only one window and the lighting is not very bright.

Overall, I highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the main street/rail yard. On several occasions, I've been awakened...

My wife and I stayed here for a very nice weekend conference in Lancaster. The hotel was very unique and was in a central location for the course and for accessing the city. It is a 2 block walk to Checkers(3rd ranked restaurant by trip advisor) where we had a great dinner the first night. We had planned going downtown for the 2nd afternoon evening but it was raining so we were pleasantly surprised with a very good gourmet dinner at the hotel restaurant which was definitely not your standard hotel restaurant. The Rose on the pillow and the chocolates were a nice touch.

So many good reviews of this hotel, that I will only add that it is very convenient to Franklin and Marhsall College with special rates available for college visitors, and that we were especially delighted to find a red rose on our bed in the evening -- a first! We ate dinner in the adjoining restaurant and it was very good. A small disappointment -- breakfast was a very average buffet, nothing more than what you would find at a chain motel (no fresh fruit, for example), with no table service, (I had hoped for a full, warm breakfast option, since the rest of the hotel is charming and upscale). Also -- while the center of Lancaster is suprisingly interesting, with galleries and historic buildings, it was a mile walk down a busy and not so interesting section of town.

Room Tip: Higher floor and old section for best ambiance and view
