We wanted to go somewhere kid friendly for a Lenten Fish Fry, but also a place where adults could get an adult beverage. The guys got the fish sandwich which was huge, and they said very good. Two of the ladies got the salad with shrimp and the portion was large and they enjoyed that as well. The only disappointment at our table was with the fish tacos. They were flour tortillas filled with one piece of fried, breaded cod. Maybe it said that on the menu, but when you think Fish Tacos, you thinking healthy, which this was not. But the service was top notch. The hostess while making reservations was not only helpful but very accommodating, seating us near the kids play area was prefect. The adults enjoyed their delicious Friday night adult beverage and the kids were very happy not only with their kid meals, but also with the play area.

To start, which you can classify as our fault, we bought an online coupon through work. We live over an hour away and wanted to try this out. Mars is the closest so we went there. Turns out the coupon is only good for one of the furthest locations. We now have multiples coupons we won't use because we won't be back.
Next we sit down, and our waitress basically ignores us. We asked about our coupon and she said can't use it and walked away. We were ready to order. We waited and waited and while waiting ... watched the table beside (who had a different waitress for some reason) was seated after, got two drinks, an appetizer and their order taken by the time our waitress found her way back to us. Our food took a while to get to the table and someone else delivered not the waitress, which sometimes is normal in a busy restaurant. They were not busy. She did a drive by and asked how things were but did not wait for a response.
Last, the two out of five rating is because while I wasn't overly impressed with my food it wasn't terrible. My kids and husband didn't complain about their food. I'd say that is something. So because of the service and the "chain" not accepting the coupons we paid for - we won't be back.

Ate here this weekend and boy was it good. I had never been here before and so I tried the Git'er Done combo with Ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. It came with fries coleslaw and cornbread. It was a lot of food and it as all very good. The ribs were great! The service was good and the server was very nice. The atmosphere of a garage was very well done with a lot local things thrown in. I will be back again. The only sort of negative is that while there is a Groupon/ Resteraunt.com for the Southside location, it isn't valid for the Mars location. I might be tempted to head down to that location instead.

Double Wide is a fun concept restaurant, complete with old trucks on overhead lifts, trailers integrated as architecture, and a kid's space offering adults a respite while dining.
The trailers are the kid spaces - 2 separate TVs, tiny chairs and tables line the inside. The kids love them, and it surprisingly keeps the noise down.
The menu is substantial, and the portions large. There is a HUGE GF menu, even offering french toast (!) for breakfast.
The food is good, but a little underseasoned. I feel like in an effort to be gourmet trailer park, they skimp on the spices. There's always something just a little flat about my meal. Maybe it's the GF aspect, but the king says the same thing about his food.
They offer an extensive draft menu, as well as their own brand of sodas. The service is friendly (and more than a little tattooed) and efficient. The prices are a bit high for what you get, but in keeping with the area.
