Staying nearby on a vacation to Sesame Place. Didn't want to have to leave the town of Morrisville as it was late when we arrived. Good reviews proved true! We got gyros and the Persian rice. It was a cheap and very tasty dinner! Even my 2 year old ate some. So glad to have found this place! !!

Stopped in on a whim as my boyfriend and I usually go to another restaurant nearby. The staff were very friendly and happy to explain what the dishes were. We had the lamb special and were blown away by how delicious it was. Perfect seasonings and falling off the bone tenderness. We will definitely go back to try some other items. Don't let the plain store-front fool you!

Jahan Kabob is a small Afghani fusion (a bit of Pakistani, Indian, etc.) restaurant located in the Pennsbury Shopping Center in Morrisville, which is about a minute from the Calhoun Street Bridge that connects to Trenton, NJ. From the outside, Jahan Kabob doesn't look like much, and inside there are just a few tables, leading me to believe that take-out comprises a large part of its business. However, we went for a relatively late mid-week dinner (around 7:30 PM), so the lack of activity (both eat-in and take-out) was not surprising. We decided to eat at the restaurant.

We picked up a couple of menus and sat down at a table before deciding on our meals, which we ordered at the counter. [The various portions of the meal were served at the table, however.]

Although we were the customers to eat in while we were at the restaurant, a number of patrons picked up take-out while we were there. The chef, who seemed very friendly, chatted with most of them in a manner that suggested that they were locals or regulars.

My companion and I both had chicken kabobs (the Mediterranean and Chicken Seekh Kabobs, respectively), both of which included rice and salad, for under $10 each. I had initially asked for two other items on the menu, but the restaurant apparently had run out of the main ingredients at that late hour. That said, we were both pleased with the kabobs. Both were grilled and very tasty. We did think the rice was a bit oily, which another reviewer had noted as well.

Surprisingly, the restaurant was unable to make the specialty drinks we wanted (milk chai and afghan lassi). In fact, the only specialty drink available was mango lassi, so we each order one. They were quite tasty, but also quite thick, making it a bit of a challenge to drink until much of the ice melted.

In summary, don't go for the atmosphere. Given the small amount of number of available seating, take-out may be a better option for most patrons, particularly at lunch or dinnertime, but do try the food. If our visit was representative, you can expect to get a warm and friendly reception along with a tasty meal.
