Lenora greeted our cycling sextet by serving iced lemon water, chilled watermelon (sans rind), juicy grapes, and warm chocolate chip cookies on the spacious porch. It was a wonderful way to complete our 49-mile ride from Pittsburgh (and the walk up the hill from the GAP Trail -- take the long way around!).
The rooms are very comfortable and spacious.
Definitely make dinner reservations to experience extraordinarily delicious cuisine served graciously. The stuffed shrimp was exquisite!
The three-course hearty breakfast was delicious, nourishing, and much more food than I could eat. It was sad to leave so much food uneaten ....
Best of all, just as Lenora's grand-daughter removed the breakfast plates, Lenora herself came out with goodie bags and water for our ride from Perryopolis to Confluence.
On your way back to the GAP Trail, detour to see the lovely church with golden cupolas. We failed to tell Lenora that we stopping there, so as we rode away, we could hear her shouting "You're heading the wrong way!"More
