Description: PJ Ryan’s opened its doors in early July, 2008 and has greeted guests with the same genuine family atmosphere that their other locations are known for (West Chester — Philly). Friendly, attentive staff members are the norm at any of the Ryan’s establishments and so is great food. Just like the pub in West Chester, the menu at PJ Ryans is full of delicious choices including their famous buffalo wings, enormous sandwiches, healthy salads and of course real meat and potato dishes like pan seared crab cakes and mouth watering Prime Rib. Guests enjoy their food in one of three lively main rooms that make up PJ Ryan’s. The entire restaurant is smoke free with beautiful hardwood floors, tin ceilings and walls adorned with family mementoes and images of Phoenixville’s past. There are two large bars with stately leather booths, hightop tables and family style bench seating. No matter where you sit you are sure to have a view of at least one of the 9 flat screen TV’s.

I'm really surprised each time we visit and it is empty. Yes, Phoenixville is a happening place with other great restaurants but we love it here. Been going to Ryan's since we lived in West Chester and went to their other location. The Ryan's Grande Nachos are the best and you cant beat them at $11. I almost always get the Reuben sandwich, too good to pass up.

We went with another couple and the atmosphere and service was fantastic! Our dinners were served promptly and our waitress Olivera was awesome! Thank you so much for a great evening and service. Can not wait to return again!

PJs is A Phoenixville staple; it's been here for almost 10 years, one of the first entrees in the Borough's restaurant renaissance. It's not fancy, the food is good but not exhilarating, the staff are usually cheerful, and the prices are smack-dab average for a small pub. So why even write a review, you ask? Because of all those things I just listed. It's a comfortable place to get a comfortable meal. There are no stand-out meals or signature dishes here, but it's all good food. It's great for catching dinner before you catch a show at The Colonial or just to pop in for a quick cocktail or two on your way elsewhere. If you can sit outside, the people-watching is a hoot. There's a comedy club downstairs once a month (with average comics) with a pretty reasonable $5 cover.

Situated just to the left of the Colonial, it looks a little worn from the outside, but I think it’s the old-fashioned look that drew us to it. We’ve been here a few times just for drinks, but we needed to eat before our movie so we chose them out of all the nearby locations, and we’re glad we did. My bbq burger was big and cooked to that perfect “medium well” that I requested. It was really good and filling. Wife loved her Reuben and especially liked that there was no mystery meat in there. Both sandwiches came with a good amount of fries. They also have a $13.99 brunch buffet but I craved burger. At least 10 beers on tap including Sam Winter, and wife said Bloody Mary was delicious. Cheap parking in rear on weekdays/Saturday and free on Sundays.

Went to Ryan's for the first time; wasn't bad, but wasn't great, either; French onion soup was extremely salty; crab cakes were nothing special; burger was good and service was good; might try again, but would not get the soup or crab cakes again.
