Stopped in for dinner after a movie. Picturesque setting on the Schuylkill Canal. Casual American bar food reasonably priced, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, seafood. Had New England clam chowder, creamy and loaded with chunks of clams. Fish tacos ($10.99 for two) had plenty of fish and came with guacamole, Salsa and sour cream. My husband had the fish basket which came with fries. Both meals were tasty and plentiful. Our server, Victoria, was friendly and professional. There is an outside deck that looks over the canal. Very enjoyable.

I paddled down from the canal lock with a friend on a nice Sunday afternoon, they're located right on the water which makes it a convenient destination. Live music on the grass was cool, we had some food on the deck overlooking the canal, a really great setting if you like nature. We ate simple: potato skins and club sandwich, both tasty. The fish bowl cocktail is a beast, definitely intended to be shared and not for amateurs!

Great place to stop for lunch or dinner after kayaking at Port Providence Paddle! The food was very good and prices are reasonable. If the weather is good, sitting outside on the deck is a real pleasure!

The Fitzwater Station is "hidden" jewel wether you are in to outdoors activity or not. This casual and very friendly pub/casual eatery is located right by the canal and it is primed for a relaxing time for refreshment and/or dinner after a long walk along the canal, an exiting kajak excursion on the schuykill river or an invigorating bike ride in to Valley Forge or beyond. It is amazing how it seems that many people don't know about this "hide-away" as there seems always to be a table or two ready waiting for you. The menu is simple but quite varied, from sandwiches, salads to varies seafood and burgers. Prices are very reasonable and the ambiance is what you make it, quite oft you you find yourself in conversion with other patrons who you never met before, this is because you have something in common, you went a little out of your way to do outdoorsy stuff. Every time we visit we have always the same comment. "why aren't there more people here". I can highly recommend this little downscaled jewel in the midst of nature and activity.

The Fitzwater Station was the place for the family reunion. The older members had great memories of this place and we had to meet here. I liked it. Our waitress was great. Food was good and the reminiscing was Priceless. If your in the area stop in and support a local businesses.
