This Comfort Inn is extremely nice. The check-in was quick and we got our room easily. The staff people were all very friendly and helpfull. They room was clean and everything worked well. Parking was especially good and the location is excellent if you are visiting Pittsurgh. You can be in downtown in less than 10 minutes. The breakfast was the first open buffet we have had at a hotel in 18 months. The had scambled eggs, sausage, fried potatoes cereals, waffles, fresh coffee, juice (but no fruit). If you want a full breakfast or other meal there
is a decent restaurant that is a 5 minutes walk up Banksville Rd. We had a suite on the 4th floor back side which was very quiet and even had a view. We expect to be back whenever visiting Pittsburgh.

I opted for a suite on this stay, and was rewarded with a room that's spacious and comfy. I am, however, at the end of my patience with post-covid shortcomings--having stayed at several hotels that provided the customary hot breakfast buffet, I will not downgrade this one for offering a paper bag with a frozen sausage biscuit in it. Perhaps nobody reads instructions but the thing is supposed to be thawed overnight in the fridge and then covered with a paper towel--neither of which are accessible in the room that I must vacate by 11. Happily there's a Denny's just down the road.

They also are not making up rooms daily. In fact, when we checked in there was only one bath towel in the room--the management corrected it promptly when notified. I prefer not to have my room cleaned daily--it doesn't happen at home, after all. But it is a shortcoming.

So, Choice Hotels and all you others--I travel again late next month, and if you don't provide the customary breakfast you'll be hearing about it in my review.
