STEEL CITY

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jul 31, 2021
Took my son to Pittsburgh to watch Brewers/Pirates at PNC! This would be are first trip to Pittsburgh so I booked a very reputable hotel. I also heard Brewers were staying there. Only problem was it was $300 a night! so my wife came across Drury while looking for better option. So reviews were awesome and price $129. Plus the thing that got me was the free breakfast and the free Happy Hour! I mean we eat hot dogs and nachos at ballpark anyways might as well eat for free before game! So we stayed here 2 nights! It was awesome! Old Federal Bank really cool! Tiffani checked us in.Super helpful girl! R room was 628. Super fast elevators! Room was huge, clean, perfect Happy hour was fantastic! then we hiked 20 minutes to PNC no problem. Next day we found out STEELERS were allowing fans in to watch practice! How cool! HEINZ FIELD right next to PNC! This was incredible 2 night trip and here is some of the helpful staff that made r stay so memorable! Gordon overnight front desk very helpful! Stevie-front desk would charge my phone behind front desk. No charger in room maybe my only complaint! Kenny the valet man. No problem going to my car to retrieve my charger! Jeremy`manager. had no problem coming to my room when we accidently set dead bolt out and couldnt shut are door. Breakfast workers! This place was great! Almost forgot Pool and rooftop patio a must! Spectacular sunsets and view. The pool used to b the FEDS shooting range. cool stuff! I am now looking into returning for BEARS at STEELRS in November and u better believe DRURY PLAZA is where I wiil stay! THANKS

Stayed 07/23/21. Hotel is gorgeous. Interesting downstairs conference room areas due to preservation of the bank vaults as this building was previously a bank. The nighttime food and drink offering was fantastic. We had pulled pork sliders, baked beans, wax beans and carrots, baked potato, salad l, hot dogs and nachos during our stay. Also free soda, coffee and tea. You are given coupons for 1 free drink plus two $0.75 drinks at check in which he to be used by 7 pm. We had a margarita and 2 beers. The margaritas were delicious. Breakfast buffet was a fantastic value also. Biscuits, white gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, make your own waffles, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, toast, bagels, juice, coffee, tea. Probably more that I overlooked. The building is beautiful but was hard to find. Signage is not very prominent. There is a tiny hole between buildings where you would pull in for valet parking. We couldn’t find so we parked at Grayhound parking garage and walked until we found it. Parking at that garage was only $5 and we were thee 6:15 pm until about 10:00 am. It was very close to the hotel. The hotel bar was deserted but we had a drink there. Wished the bar was up on the beautiful rooftop deck. That would have been ideal. We took some drinks up and enjoyed views from there anyway. Did not use pool or fitness room but both looked top notch. The room was well appointed and very clean. I loved the white linens as you know it’s clean. He’s was comfy. There was a microwave and mini refrigerator in the room, as well as a hairdryer. I did not notice if there was an iron. This hotel offered a discount for state employees, even when traveling for pleasure. It was a great price, especially since it’s the added values of dinner, cocktails, and breakfast. We figured those alone for the 2 of us would have been $100. Very nice hotel. I would highly recommend and will surely look for Drury in our future travels.

Room was great. The complimentary buffet dinner and breakfast in the am were very good and well worth paying an extra $10 or $20 per night if you like the convenience of not having to scout out a restaurant for those meals.

Rooftop lounge area was a nice plus.

Staff at that the desk and dining servers were all very friendly and helpful for identifying points of interest in the city.

We had a great experience! Starting with Tiffany at the front desk! Super friendly with a great smile! Room was a great value to include breakfast, lite appetizers and drinks. Valet parking was normal pricing and hotel is in a great location. You won’t be disappointed.

Just a pit stop to checkout downtown Pittsburgh on our way back to NY from Indianapolis. We pulled in on a Tuesday afternoon and made our reservation on site for a one night stay. After dropping off our stuff in a sizeable room with two comfortable beds, we walked downtown to get our first impressions of Pittsburgh. Market Square was a bit of a disappointment but we were going to grab sandwiches at the original Primanti Brothers and those were awesome. Grabbed some ice cream and were back in room to shower and rest up for an early departure. We grabbed some coffee and checked out the breakfast, which looked good, but nothing that we could take on the run. Would definitely consider staying here again when we come back to truly enjoy what seemed to be a fun town.

I have stayed at the Drury twice now, and I cannot recommend it more! The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfasts and dinners were good, and the drink coupons were a nice added bonus.
