I stay at the Drury very frequently for work trips in Pittsburgh; so I view hotels as a place to sleepover and prepare for work while maintaining a sense of “I know what I’m getting” each day.
In the middle of this four day stay, after a long and busy day at work, I come back into my room to see that my bed has been made (standard by many hotels)
But I also see at the foot my bed, neatly folded (as best as it could be) my “woobie” which is a military issued blanket that I travel with. That blanket has been with me over 10 years throughout my time in the service and after. It has been with me through the absolute peaks and valleys of my life experiences.
I would have not bat an eye, or cared if I found it on the ground, or balled up on the chair. But I could not, and still haven’t stopped smiling at that level of care that was taken with it. I’m sure it looked like a beat up questionable old camo blanket, but to me that’s been my home and warmth for many stressful situations.
Thank you Sony for such care!
