Well we check into the hotel and there is a huge leak in the ceiling by the check in desk. There was a major storm so we didn’t think too much of it. We then saw another leak by our door but didn’t think much of it. We realize they forgot soap and shampoo for our room. I asked for both and they gave me soap but they told me they were out of shampoo which is a little frustrating because we came for a wedding and didn’t bring shampoo. Again pretty annoying, but not the end of the world. When we got back to the hotel around 10PM I heard a girl complaining about fire alarms, but didn’t think much of it. We went to the bar on site and really enjoyed it. Then at about 11:30 we came upstairs and fire alarms were still blasting right outside our door. We went down to the front desk and was informed that it was fixed, but came back upstairs and learned that it was not. We booked a king room but they said since we were requesting a switch we needed to move to a queen. When I said the switch was only because couldn’t sleep due to the fire alarms that they couldn’t shut off, they said it was out of their control that the fire alarms were going off and that it was the storms fault and not their fault. I expressed that I just wanted the type of room that we purchased and they said that we could either stay in the king by the fire alarm or move to a double queen that we didn’t want. End of story is we have two more nights in this place and we are wondering why we didn’t book the days inn down the street. Now we get to stay up all night listening to fire alarms with unwashed hair and spend more for a premium hotel. Next time we will make a different decision.
