I came with a group and had a lovely room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The one elevator was not working for a few days, so we had to walk up & down stairs. My experience, not shared by everyone, was that the staff were helpful.
-Breakfast each day in the River Room included oatmeal, fresh-cooked eggs, yogurt, fruit, and breads. I think some people were staying in rooms that had not been updated, and they complained of mold and musty smells.
-The bathroom was tiny but adequate. If you stay here, I would suggest bringing a night light. There is a substantial step up into the bathroom, and the night light made it easy to see the step in and out.
-The Buckwood Bakery, next to the reception desk, has delicious baked goods. It was easy to charge snacks, coffee, and sodas to my room.More
